Last June, I was in Vegas for the NHL Awards. The Sharks were getting 55-1 odds and my buddy had me put a $50 bet for him. When they made the Finals, I figured I was in a good spot.

A) If the Sharks won, I could be happy for him to use that money towards his wedding later this year. He also promised to treat me to a nice meal for putting the wager down.

B) If the Sharks lost, I could make fun of him relentlessly for almost winning. Or be the annoying second guesser "I would have just bet on them winning the Conference."

His birthday is in a few weeks. I'm probably gonna be a jerk and get him a Conference champions shirt/hat if they go on clearance in time.

I definitely would've hedged that bet.

Whatever makes a division rival worse. Though I'm not sure if the Kings offseason will be any better given the cap situation and Dustin Brown wasting away valuable cap space.

As constructed*, I think this team is nothing but another quick first round exit, needs to be a major addition on the blue line (Hamhuis or Yandle in FA, trade possible if not more likely).

*Basically fill out the bottom 6 with young players and blue line with 2 of Scuderi/Greene/Gravel

Yeah it's pretty clear the hat and jersey was provided by the show and these random people off the street were coached as to what to say.

Clearly these people have no clue what they're talking about. Like the news anchors who try to talk about hockey when the Kings go on a deep playoff run and can't even get the players names right, let alone use the correct team logo.
