On the one hand he's totally showboating and I wouldn't have been surprised if he got knocked on his butt. On the other hand I freaking love it. That kid earned everything that happened in his game tonight.

The problem that I have with it is, with the score already being 7-2, not necessarily trying a move like that, but the way he reacted when it worked. I'm really surprised someone didn't crack him one ... maybe the fight was just completely out of the Rangers at this point?

Remember how upset everyone was at Nail Yakupov's celebration at the start of last season? I'm sure this one will draw similar reactions.

In addition to this...

Tomas Hertl. 19 year old. Leads the NHL in goals. Potted 4 tonight vs the Rangers and on his 4th goal he went between his legs Malik style.

Here's the 4th goal

The Rangers now have another issue...

Larry Brooks ‏@NYP_Brooksie 16m

Nash: "I have a headache. It got worse. It was a head shot. I'm concerned the way it feels."

Prague is one of my favorite places on this planet. I'm more likely to cut a Czech player some slack lol (Please note that's not bias against the Russian, just favoritism of the Czech lol). Not to mention I just loved the goal. Reminded me of Nasher's against St. Louis, only in motion.

Hertl four goals... good job :yo: ... and on EHT was invisible. We will see how long he will play so good (I think play not points), Varlamov is back and Rangers... no words.

From the Rangers board:

On the bright side, we had 4 players (J. Moore, Stralman, Dorsett and Nash) who weren't a minus tonight !!

I get why some people (Adam Oates in particular) are saying Hertl's fourth goal is disrespectful - it was a bit unnecessary at that point in the game with his team up five goals. At the same time, it's the responsibility of the Rangers to at least attempt to prevent Hertl from scoring on that play.

Anyway, the Rangers strike me as a team still figuring themselves out. They obviously haven't exorcised every remnant of the Tortorella era as they reverted to his low-zone collapse the second the ice tilted toward their end. Contrast that to their game on Monday in LA - they played Vigneualt's system nearly perfect and dominated most of the game against a very good team. I expect they'll still finish second or third in the Metro, but until they get their mojo right teams like the Jackets should be able to victimize them a bit.

i just don't think the Rags are finesse enough for an AV team...they'll have to make a couple of moves at some point to shake things up...

Yeah they aren't looking so great right now. Also, Anaheim knows what music should be played at a hockey game.

Through the half of the game John Moore played only 4 ES minutes and was -3. The guy still has no brains.

My god... What kind of curse have we hexed on the New York Rangers?

Well they are without their best player and best goal scorer. Torts defense first shot blocking system really made the D look better than they are... and AV is showing that.

It's so funny because when I watch their team, I really think they are missing a two-way center with some heart (Dubinsky), some depth scoring (Anisimov), and a winger who can turn the game around (Gaborik).

Idle Speculation here.

If the Rangers have a disastrous season and blow up the management structure of the team (it's looking that way now), does Dolan throw assloads of money at Davidson to get him to come back to NY? Does Davidson even consider it?
