Nash needs to show up in Game 3. Invisible until the 3rd, same wiht Brassard. Moore was good, and Dorse took two bad penalties.

And mad props to everybody involved in that Join the Battle commercial they just showed on NBCSN.

Huge step up from those County-fair esque ads that ended with Rimer yelling at the end of them.

That shot of JD walking through the entrance onto the ice reminds me of a similar shot of Nash doing the same in Skrauts old "Call to Arms" video.

2 guys in now 2 different CBJ eras doing the same thing. Both guys as the the main figurehead of the CBJ in many eyes. Shows a great change in my mind.

I saw Moore used as a pylon, once it almost led to a goal by Ovy, and Moore was also lucky not to get called for flipping the puck over the glass. Also, turnovers.

Been thinking this myself. Usually when I watch the playoffs I'm thinking "wow these teams are on another level" but this year I'm thinking "Jackets could handle these guys".

To major major's point, I think the answer is yes, but it also manifests itself in what Fan posted.

The only series that's looked like it's been on another level, for me, is the Kings/Blues series. The rest have been fairly "meh."

Just saw the Rags lost. haha I don't care what Nash does to tell you the truth. Not on my team anymore. I will root for the guys that got traded at the deadline though. Even Mason. Hopefully, the Blues can put the stranglehold down on the Kings tonight.

I have no problem rooting for Nash, Moore, and Dorsett and against the Rangers.

I sing it occasionally, but not in the bigs (though I did sing in front of Fred Haise once). I cringe quite a lot of times when I hear it at an NHL game. I can't stand when someone stylizes or sings it as a funeral march....

It's a difficult piece and I saulte anyone who has the courage to sing it in front of other people. But I am critical - it's part of both of my jobs, I guess.

Looked up the Bruins' anthem singer. I had forgotten it was Rene Rancourt (I was listening but not watching earlier). He has been sining there a lon time, which is why the fans love him, and probably why he still sings despite his voice's obvious deterioration (he's 73).

I didn't get a chance to hear it. How bad was his voice? And on a slightly related question, does anybody know if Tom Waits has ever sung the national anthem before a sporting event?

I think not, but Waltzing Matilda is the unofficial national anthem of Australia.

Had real trouble staying on pitch. His vibrato was "loose" i.e. out of control. Pronunciations all over the place. Sounded to me, old, tired. And, like I said, turns out the guy's 73, so...

Pulling for TOR in this series but I don't think they have enough. They have stretches where they look like they're getting it together but they can't sustain. Boston is so confident.

EDIT:
Hope I'm wrong! 2-1 Leafs now. Rask with a tremendous sequence right there though.
