Flyers fans love Streit, he's by far their best defenseman.(not that that is saying very much....)

Yeah, don't think their little hot start is sustainable though so he seems like a prime candidate for a trade deadline deal to me.

And I happen to know someone who loves trade deadline deals for old guys...

He was their best guy last year too. The defense has been a hot mess since Paul Holmgrem set the world on fire on his way out the door.

What I want is their defensive prospects. Gimme a Shayne Gostisbehere, Travis Sanheim, or better yet, an Ivan Provorov.

What about Andy Greene on our top pair? Too old? He isn't the sexist guy in the world but he is smart and has always played big minutes. I get that he is a lefty and on the wrong side of 30, but his future clearly isn't in NJ.

He's a Detroit kid to from Trenton, I would maybe take a flyer on him he will be 33 at the end of this month. Probably wouldn't cost us an arm or a leg either.

Missing Robidas (38). Funny.. Kenny wanted Robi and Boyle + we just dumped Zid.

I would love to see Matt Greene in a Wing's uniform. Solid player, Righty, great leader, and a Michigan boy. I think he is coming up to free agency too. He is a friend of mine's cousin.

they just named him as their captain and he's by far their best player. not going anywhere unless he asks out.

also, don't think he's played right side much (or at all) outside being on the right side on the PK to start last season. where he was bad.

he has 3 more years on his contract. also, not good anymore.

If we're talking about guys that wouldn't cost a ransom to get, I think Kevin Bieksa was the guy. A 2nd round pick in 2016. Not bad at all. Missed opportunity there. The rest of that bunch is pretty worn out. And anybody younger is going to cost some serious assets.

Hasn't he been playing pretty poorly (at least before the trade)? I don't follow the guy much, but thought I saw complaints about him often.

It seems like he wanted to stay on the west coast and Vancouver granted his wish.

Sure. But that's buying low. He's playing 23 minutes a night in Anaheim.

That's probably true. Can't blame the guy, either. Him and Kesler get to stay West, in sunny California, and play for a contender.
