The same reason you don’t care is the same reason I don’t care. That should be easy to understand.

Ok, let's ignore Kravtsov. What difference would it make to you if the Rangers' D prospect pool sucked and it would be tougher for us to give up Lundkvist. It would be the same player.

HAH gottem, can’t count!! So let’s do the math together here, friend.
It’s January 2022 right now. In one year it will be January 2023. The Panthers will have paid Bob’s $6 million signing bonus and half of his $6 million 2022-2023 salary. There will be $25 million left on his contract.
In 1.5 years, let’s add that together… February, March, April, May, June, July 2023… the Panthers will have paid all $12 million and now covered another $5 million signing bonus. There will be $17.5 million left on his contract and he will in his last year of full NMC.
In two years (January 2024, in case you lost count), there will be $15 million left on his contract, and he will be on the edge of no longer having an NMC.
It would not be inconceivable that the Panthers could retain some percentage of $15-17.5 million and pay a king’s ransom of picks if that’s what it took to hold onto Huberdeau. Why you dont think this helps the Huberdeau contract is a bit daft, since the whole point is to free up ~$5 million in cap space needed for Huberdeau. A move dealing Bob with some retention would do that. And it’s not inconceivable that a team with cap space would see this as an opportunity. f*** outta here with your condescending “you can’t add” bullshit.

This is pathetic. He won't waive his NMC this year or next year. Three seasons from now or 2 years from this exact date by your logic, Bob is just going to waive because he is on the "edge" of his NMC....Not only that he is going to waive to go a crap team that will be able to take on a 10 mill cap for a goalie of all positions but will also have to pay him for 2 more full seasons after that. Thats 2 and a half seasons of carrying a 10 mill cap hit. You honestly can't be serious. Oh and he is in a no tax state so trading him will probably cost him a boatload of money. This literally makes no sense. Zero. Dude your math sucks and you are delusional to think that scenario will ever happen. The only scenario is he gets traded once his NMC expires and he only has a NTC to however many teams. Thats not 1-2 years.

Lastly he won't be moved before Hubs extension kicks in. Florida has some cap issues to figure out just like every other team in the flat cap.

When? What’s the math on that?

If Huberdeau gets 10 mil and Weegar gets 7 then in ‘23-‘24 the Panthers would have their top 8 Fs, top 4 D, and 1G locked up at 72M. Even if the cap doesn’t move an inch that’s not at all concerning and that’s with Bob’s contract

Well according to capfriendly Florida has 3.5 mill in cap space with only 15 players signed next year. Seems like a pretty big problem..

If you trade Montour and Tippett, and let Marchment go, you could fit Chych in for next season. The bottom 3 D would be kinda bad, but it doesn't even matter because the top 4 D would be studly. In 2023 Hornqvist and Gudas' contracts expire. That's enough to fit Huby's extension in.

Tippett and Marchment make under a mill and you still need to replace them with a body. Swapping Montour for Chychrun raises the cap by a mill. Florida would have 2.5 of cap space with only 15 guys signed next year. Someone would need to go.

That list sucks. You must be talking about the wrong defenseman. It’s the other guy from Florida, with the goofy name. Not Chychrun but Gostisbehere. If you’re not confused, you’re an outrageous homer. Lol.
Yeah, you don’t know what you’re talking about so I’ll let you be..

Hornqvist is as good as gone. Will have 9M in space needing to sign 5 bottom 6 Fs and a 6th and 7th defenseman. No issues at all

If it's a rebuild then he's 23, why wouldn't he be part of that rebuild?
Chychrun has 3½ years left in his deal before becoming UFA, and the Coyotes are most likely going to spend that whole time in the basement. The sooner they deal him the more they will get.

That 3½ years is a lot to a contender, but it's meaningless to basement dwelling Coyotes.

He must be relaxing this season. His +|- is so bad. -31 and the second worst on the team is -13. Usually its quite even and not one player far worse than the rest.

Moving on from Vatrano(2.5 mil/last year of contract), Horny(5.3 mil/one year left on contract), and Acciari(1.6 mil/last year of contract), gives them a little over 9 mil in space alone.

Lol not really.

Vatrano is gone. He won't be brought back. Nutivaara is gone. Acciari will be gone.

Marchment and Mamim will still be cheap.

A lot of the players they need to sign are AHLers and RFA.

Florida doesn't have cap issues till Huberdeau needs a deal...provided the cap remains the same

Can you explain to me how if the bottom 3D are kinda bad the top 4 would be studly? Panthers gonna play the season with 7D?
