Maybe it can be like Tanev moving from Vancouver to Calgary, got a bit more durable. We do have a lot of medical/sports science guys, maybe they have some ideas to help Timmins. It's hard to find a RD and trading a tall guy in the AHL isn't that expensive.

Some of the best in the world, actually. We have world class facilities and training resources.

These guys actually get paid to provide this kind of analysis/insight:

Brutal.

I can read an EP profile too.

I love how Dubas was supposed to be this analytics wonderboy, but everyone he trades for is from the Soo Greyhounds lmao.

A lot of them have good analytics so... I guess he is kind of living up to that at least?

He is probably a guy we would target without the connection.

Was in a conditioning stint with Arizona farm club.....so I assume he is healthy.....

Interesting nugget tho......kid has talent

"Internationally, Timmins won a gold medal with Team Canada during the 2018 IIHF World Junior Championship. He recorded a goal and four assists through seven games during the tournament and was named a Top 3 Player on the Team."

Is he healthy now?
Can he go to the Marlies or needs waivers?
he was being sent to the 'yotes AHL on conditioning after recovering from an upper body injury

he's on the last year of an SPC at 850k RFA when it expires

hopefully he gets and stays healthy he has 7 assists in 41 NHL games

Healthy scratch with the Marlies one game over the weekend, and a couple of times this year total. It clearly wasn't going well for him. I wish that there were published game logs, with TOI, as it seemed his time had been cut recently.

So... Any chance he slots in tonight?

I doubt it.

Nice deal, Timmins is injury prone but might fill that RHD need if healthy.

Douglas had a nice year last season but has 1 assist this year and hasn't looked good. At best he would have been a 4th line centre. Timmins has potential to have more of an impact.

I dunno I think the Leafs just can’t develop big players. Similar comments I see in this thread and the main board were made about Marchment. I was unfortunately one who also didn’t think Marchment had much to offer but I always felt Douglas could be a great 4th line center and Timmins is kinda heading down busy territory.

Thanks, guess that explains why Simmonds was waived.

Have they said when he'll join the team?

Simmonds didn't get claimed... for good or bad, which I guess resulted in a need for a trade, instead of claiming Timmins off waivers... which they probably had discussions with Arizona about.

I haven't heard anything about when he'll join... I guess as soon as possible... probably want to get in a practise or two before throwing him out there.

Marchment and Douglas names shouldn't be spoken about in the same sentence. Have you even watched the Marlies this year?

Sound like this guy has a long injury history. Sounds like a typical Dubas pick up
