I don't know how to explain it and I know it's been only 1 game, but he definitely gives off top 4 "attitude" to me.

Looks like Keefe was trying him out with pretty much everyone and he was adjusting well, was rusty in the 1st period with his skating, but got better as the game went on.

He also looks like he plays big if he has to, which is what we need.

when benn tried to take him and and he stood his ground ... thats what this team needs .. mac or mete in that situation would have been flattened like a pancake.

he looked alright , nothing earthshattering but its nice to have a guy thats not 5'9 160 pounds

You can tell he thinks the game well and he's quite comfortable and calm out there. The only thing that's held this guy back is his health, fingers crossed he's turned the corner in that regard and he can continue to grow as a player now. At one point he was highly regarded by Avs fans and was supposed to be a big part of their future blueline.

Yea, even in just that one game you can see he is a quick thinker. I mean, his placement of the puck to his teammates while under pressure really stood out. Nice size too, average skater. I didn't see a lot of downside in his abilities. As you say, the health will be the deciding factor.

Neat & tidy first showing - liked the way that Keefe managed him during the 2nd period penalty fest & onslaught. Eased him back into things in the 3rd.

Looks confident on the puck. LOL at whatever was happening with his skates.

I just looked at the numbers, he did even better than I thought. Led the team with 68% CF and 65% xGF. Very impressive considering he didn't even really have a permanent partner for the game. Only started 30% of his shifts in the offensive zone as well.

Watched this guy in Soo he was a stud, great great player! Watched him against Dallas last night he looked good real good, might have a diamond in the rough in this guy
For his first NHL game in over a year.....he looked great. Smooth, decisive with the puck, and stood up Benn with a good takeout.

I hope to see more. I see Holl replacement if he can stay healthy.

Yeah, I only saw about 3/4 of the game missed bits here and there, but he made some nice plays that looked in control.

I'm guessing he gets another couple auditions and if he stays healthy he's stealing a permanent position next year.

Perfect Holl replacement on the third pair. Cheaper as well.

Looked a bit uncomfortable in the 1st, but then I think he settled in, was involved in the play, blasted a few off the blue line, was a bit physical. He already played in NHL, so I think he understands what is required of him. Hopefully whatever woes he had are behind him, because after one game he looks like at least a good bottom pair guy.

What I like was his ability to make plays with the puck, even under pressure. A couple of times he was caught out of position but, hopefully, that's just a systems thing he needs to get used to.

Glad he's not afraid to take hits, as well as, stand up his man as well.

See this play? this is the play I am talking about
It's not rough, it's not over the top hits, just a basic hockey rush kill

People here think you have to nail someone to the board for you to be physical. This is just as effective as any big hit

I was impressed with him. Hoping we have something in him

That's the kind of play we haven't been getting in recent years from our depth defenders. 7 minutes left and we're up 3-0, and Timmins still made the physical play. I loved that.

I honestly think we got a long-term piece here, virtually for free. Even if he never cracks the top 4, he's still a quality player. I hope he stays in the lineup for a while.

For free?!?!?!?! WE TRADED A 6’9FT PLAYER FOR HIM!!!!

Seems like Douglas is still playing poorly in his first 2 AHL games for Arizona lol

A big defenseman with skills for a top 4 role never go out of style. What would that RD side look like next year, maybe a Timmins in and a Holl out.

Timmins has a good chance to stay, and work himself into the top 4 if he can stay healthy.
Brodie might be re-signed after next year, but might be playing lower in the line-up.
