Lol you can’t be serious can you? Your comparing what marner has played with compared to Eichel?!

paul marner everyone!
Paul was biggest network54 poster of all time .. before someone sued (i wonder who) and got site shutdown .. blasting all his pro coaches online and then being super nice at rink face to face

Bottom line, they'll be one of the odds on favorites again next year, and every year they're together.

And vegas will agree.

Now we can add the term "odds on favorites" to the list of things that you think you understand but you don't.

When we lost to MTL, I believe you posted that this was the worst loss in Maple Leaf history, then you disappeared for quite some time. I'm glad you're alive and well but it's kind of sad that you don't seem to have learned a thing.

I like Tavares, he has good skill like the other 3, but watching him closely, he has no overdrive button. None of the core does.

Very little emotion. All these 4 together just lack any of the bite or next level gear required for the playoffs. Individual skill does not win and this core will not IMO. It must change.
I don't think he's that special. The bets thing you can say is that he puts up a PPG. It sounds nice but he has never taken over once for us and was billed as nearly a generational talent around 08/09. I just see a good player that is severely overpaid and vanilla in every sense. Obviously, he's good but for the salary and everything he was supposed to bring to the table he has been a massive failure.

Every discussion board needs comic relief.

Zeke brings that in spades, just not sure if that's his actual intention.

Expected is still my favourite Leaf line going.
Odds on isn’t bad but doesn’t compare to the incredibly entitled use of “expected”.

Expected goals, expected wins, expected contracts, perfect. Sums up the core and the reason Leaf fans get a hard time.
Expected. Just keep the same thing that doesn’t work Kyle. It’s expected.

This core plays exactly the same way against an in your face playoff series as they do against Ottawa on a January night.

JT, Matthews, Marner, Nylander. All 4 the exact same. I don’t see this core winning IMO.

I'm sure Kyle is feeling pretty good about his Expected Cup he won himself this year.

Take a look around HF or listen tl the radio and tell me how many leafs fans would bet on the leafs.

No one in their right mind.

That said, if no one bets on them, Vegas will not leave their odds in "favorite" territory for very long. So there goes your theory of Vegas thinking highly them.

After some brief appearances, the other guy is now gone......hmmm

Isles vs Habs may suck for us as fans, but it's perfect for management. I want them to be depressed and pissed off all summer long. It may actually result in some inspirational moves.

I've had similar thoughts. Maybe I'm just trying to find a consolation prize but I do believe there is something to this.

He is indeed getting more and more hilarious as time goes by. His narrative never changes even one little bit but our failures keep piling up making him look more and more ridiculous as time goes by. He's basically becoming a parody of himself. Comic relief is on overused term but it applies 100% perfectly in this case.

That does seem to be his mantra - actual results are irrelevant, expected this and that on the other hand, now that's the good stuff. :)

So if vegas still thinks high of them, that means....?

Good grief child. Why are you here?

I’m here so you and the rest of the marner family can’t change the narrative on that selfish clown. I’m pushing the truth until that clown until he’s gone

Goes in line with everything I have ever heard about that family. They are a very insecure bunch.

Because we need on ice success. Actual on ice success.

Not favourable statistical projections, not sports betting odds, not bullish radio hosts, feel good storylines and message board wins.

It's so obvious but it's like you're speaking Greek to someone who only understands pig Latin.

It means there are enough people like yourself willing to bet on them......nothing more. Do you understand how odds are set initially and how they move?

You have already noted that its unlikely people will be betting on the leafs out of emotion or homerism. Quite the opposite.

I'm happy for NYI but I can't even watch the other series. Every time I check a result and see the Habs are leading or have won, I get a knot in my gut and actually feel ill.

So there is nothing other than previous playoffs wins that matters, which cannot change before next playoffs - so why would vegas or other experts favoring them going into next year depress you?

You could have just said "no" or not responded rather than post something that makes no sense given what you were responding to.

Why would i lie.

You have alresdy noted that its unlikely the leafs will gain bettors based on emotion or homerism this year.

So why would a vegas line show a pro-toronto skew?
