Quinn is nice but he's not enough of an upgrade over Smith to warrant the extra trade value we'd have to give up.

Luke isn't going to be here for another 2 years anyway so there's no point in collecting all the Hughes boys just yet. Wait until he's UFA and get him for free.

I honestly believe uniting the Hughes brother is a mistake.

Your team will have 3 players who are so interlocked, you can’t make any moves on one without seriously impacting the other.

The 3 brothers will also be the dominant voice in the locker room, which could be a double edged sword depends on how mature they are.

Eh, I'd be willing to take that chance.

That being said, it doesn't make any sense currently for either team. Hopefully Quinn signs a bridge contract and we revisit this topic in a few years...though I only realistically see Quinn coming to NJ as a UFA one day.

So what if the devils were hypothetically interested?, 0,00% chance Canucks would let him leave to another team,
not to mention, why would Quinn want to move to a horrible team like the NJ Devils?.

The brother card?...yeah...anyone who have ever seen those together....
and who can read various of stuff from people faces and other body language...
its not like Quinn is the best of buds with his brothers (Jack).

Many times ive seen Quinn embarrassed and uninterested of Jack's behaviour and what he does, says.
- 1 example; the 2021 Hughes family draft party, Quinn 100% did not want to sit on that couch,
he was awkward the entire time they showed their stream and when Jack started to hug people...
oh and by the way it was Luke's draft.....

Literally none of this matters because Devils fans have been pretty adamant about it not making any sense to trade for him BUT

"why would Quinn want to move to a horrible team like the NJ Devils?."- Vancouver are not leaps and bounds better, but are working with a lot of potential, like the Devils....

"The brother card?...yeah...anyone who have ever seen those together...." -They just bought a house together

"he was awkward the entire time they showed their stream and when Jack started to hug people..."-Jack was overly excited to play with his younger brother, and Quinn was the odd man out. I think he handled it pretty well with how much they were pushing the "brothers" being together and him not being one of them.

This is going to be like the Staal brothers, isn't it, with endless proposals to get them all on the same team. It probably won't happen.

The one difference is that Jordan was the youngest one (not counting Jared) and for the first six years of his career the three brothers were all on different teams. In this case two of the three brothers are on the same team right off the bat.

Not saying that means Quinn won't stay a Canuck, but it is a difference.

You can't be serious right.

1st of all how would you know if they were best friends or not. 2nd even if they were friends, he's going to complain because his team traded for his brother?

Stop fanboying and try thinking.
Because theyve said so? They live together? Ty even went to their new house with Quinn?

i think you should take a step back and stop typing

That's a minor difference though, because the moment that all three were drafted there were people on HF trying to figure out ways to get them all on the same team.

You’re too arrogant to admit you’re wrong?

You actually believe that if the Devils traded smith for his brother that Jack would be upset? That’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard

Lol so you are an expert body language analyst and can determine Quinn doesn’t like Jack that much ….. wow . Pretty sure you can find 432 video s and interviews that prove that wrong and they would of course want to play together if given the chance
Having said that , I don’t see it working where all three play together unless it’s when they are all near retiring . No way Deviks could afford all 3 plus Hamilton and whoever else breaks out (Holtz Mercer ) .

The only thing ridiculous here is you asking how people knew Ty Smith and Jack Hughes were best friends, when you didnt even know they lived together

Talk about yapping over a topic you know nothing about

This is starting to remind me of when people were saying Crosby isn't a significant upgrade over Parise when they both broke into the league.

The Canucks finished 5 points ahead of the Devils last season despite playing in the worse division and having a much older team. Are you really going down this road?

I’m suppose to know that two players I don’t care about live together? Seriously?

Anyone with a pulse should know someone is going to value their close brother over a friend they met within the past 2 years

Two things.

No one expects you to know anything, but when you come out of the gate as hot as you did, that typically means you do know something about what you are talking about...That's on you.

And yes, any normal person would value family first, but that doesn't mean they can't be "unhappy" about seeing the other person go. Again, which is all that was said.

So one last time, relaaaaaaaaaxxx.
