Quinn is point machine. Devils are probably gonna have to include Holtz if they really want to make the deal. If you balk at that price, move on. Not a whole lot to talk about. Vancouver isn't gonna give Quinn away and there isn't any urgency to trade him.

Number 1 or 2 overall, if the Devils win a lottery pick, in the 2022 draft would probably get it done. I don’t think the Devils would be interested though.

No it wouldn’t. Why would the Canucks want a mystery box over a No. 1 D? Wright doesn’t even look that good and he’s the consensus No. 1 pick.

Come on. Quinn Hughes is a good player but no one is trading the #1 overall for him. Any GM making that trade should lose their job. #2 overall? I'm no scout. I don't have a good handle on Wright vs Cooley. I don't think the team with the draft pick makes that trade though. #3 or #4 for Q.Hughes I can see simply because it isn't one of those two. Which is why you stated that as your price. So you must, know - sliiiiiim chance you get that price accepted. One thing to consider, the Devils do have J.Hughes and Hischier. They might be ok trading a center prospect for the marketing buzz of having all 3 Hughes brothers. So a trade is still possible. I just think Vancouver adds for the top 2 picks. It might not be much but think they still add.

The Devils are in a unique position where a pick that high would be expendable for the right return. They’re set at center for pretty much the next decade. They score a lot of goals as is and have more blue chip prospects on the way.

As I said though, they wouldn’t trade the pick for Quinn. They’d probably trade it for Knight or Askarov though.

Ugh. Why?

NJ fans mocked the Canucks fans when Quinn's contract was being negotiated and you had Jack and Luke associated with NJ. The two older ones are signed long term to their respective teams and Luke hasn't even made the NHL yet and we probably don't see him until after his season ends in 2023. The ship has sailed on this for the next several years. Both NHL brothers seem happy where they are. The salary cap and team building being what they are I'm not sure any team would be best served with all three brothers.

Please please let this go. There is no reason for fans of either team to worry or care about this for a long time.
