Player Discussion Arber Xhekaj: The Sheriff

I'm impressed with the progress Xhekaj the hockey player made over the summer. It didn't really show up at camp but his last couple of outings have been a
huge step in the right direction. Better decision making and less running after the big hit. I still can't say I know where this dude's ceiling is at.
He's also becoming sneaky good at getting the puck on net and finding good shooting lanes.

"Yes, he wants a rematch with Wi-Fi.

"We're playing them two more times." »

The latter would also have mentioned the fact that Xhekaj had initiated the fight by throwing himself at him and that he had not appreciated it.

“I don't like people jumping on me. I don't know if I've ever really jumped on someone. Do you want to fight? Ask me. »

It seems that the next clash between the two teams has become an unmissable event. However, we will have to wait until March 9 before these two teams cross paths again during this season.
Is this a joke? We don't play the Leafs until MARCH??

Arber is the epitome of Godfrey the walking boss in the movie Cool Hand Luke! The Man with no eyes! Doesn’t need to speak., just pure intimidation!!!!.

Anybody remember Furgy flexing his biceps? No? Neither do i.

The ONLY thing Reaves is good for is gooning it up. When i say only, i mean ONLY. So he gets taken to the barn, slapped around and now runing his mouth. Thats ALL he has left.

For years i kept dreaming of a player like X, even thought we had one in Komi....and now we have the real deal.

X sweater is going to be mandatory in my future...

BTW...Little X is improving by leaps and bounds. The absolute minimum is that he's better then Pez, which isn't much of a reach. Of course i like to dream bigger and see another Tkachuk with even nastier attitude.

He's 6'4", now in the 215 range pound and full of nastiness.

Bet on the X brothers making us forget that a few short years ago, we were the Mini Habs

Too bad they don't have a third brother.

I just had to get something out my chest sorry lol… But X is a good hockey player, he’s not just an enforcer…. As much as I love seeing him fight, I want him to know his worth because when he fight a 8min/game enforcer it hurt us more because he’s a valuable dmen for our team

The Sheriff is such a good nickname for this guy. He's quickly becoming the sort of player who has an outsized role in defining a team's identity.

Tough guy who is more than an enforcer is needed on practically any team in the league but especially a young one like ours.

He has good hockey IQ, decent hands and a boomer shot. Honestly, much as I love the ability to enforce. I am happy he is developing into a good Dman and prefer if he doesn't have to throw them every game. Guy worked hard to make it to the NHL and deserves a real shot to stay in the lineup. His time in the box(and benched by bad reffing misconducts) reduces his other quality improvements to our team.

Interesting seeing tinner yesterday. Arber is what they thought he should have been, but he didn't want to fight because he ISN'T his dad. He could still have been an OK dman if not for development.

Xhekaj scored his first NHL goal in a 5–2 loss to the Dallas Stars on October 22, also recording an assist in the same game.[14] Xhekaj earned the nickname "Wi-Fi" from his teammates in reference to his complex surname being similar to an internet router's default password.

Th
at is a weird was of talking about his nickname. Is it me or does that not sound right. WIFI isn't the default password as far as I know, its the type of over the air communication and it just happens to sound similar to his name. Sorry for the nit pick.

Of course, but put in the same play, I'm sure a 35 yo Laraque would act exactly like Reaves.
35 yo BGL chased prime Lucic around for a whole game asking him to go. What are you on about? He adhered by the code a bit too much but he never turned down anybody. Put some respect on the goat heavyweight.
