I had a 1996 Maxima that I sold finally in 2015. It was still running great. The only issue was rust. I drove it during the time I lived alone back and forth to Belmont daily and it never broke down once....not even once. It ran like a tank in the snow.

Whenever I see other cars that also have duct tape on them I take a minute to honor my Max. I loved him.

I was the first to get a 4 year degree. and the first to live and thrive out of New England.

I'm the black sheep--totally ok with it.

Justice for those babies NOW.
Justice was served for JJ, Tylee and Tammy.

Her husband goes on trial next year.

Both are monsters.

Well, I got a date for my hip replacement surgery.

June 26th.

Wish I could wiggle my nose and have it all be done (Like Samantha the witch)

wish you the best Susan!

Ive had friends that have had it done. Post physical therapy is hard but every single one of them say its the best thing theyve ever done. To finally be pain free.

My left hip will need to be done too but my docs prefer if I can go a few more years. Same with my cataracts. That way only do them once.

Really? I would have thought he was more ubiquitous than that. Then again, he was Canadian. ;)

If you were my age you probably would have heard of him. He was a great story teller. He is a Canadian and his fellow musician from Canada (Neil Young) recently did this song in honor of Gordon LIghtfoot.

This is my favorite song of his.

and Neil's rendition

I'm not sure how well he was known in Australia - I know my music reasonably well but I'm not really the right demographic for Lightfoot. My father is 73 and was right into music in the 60s and 70s. I will ask him if he's familiar.

How was it? Super interested in getting a pizza oven, but not sure what brand...

It was awesome. Takes a little practice but we’ll worth it.

We have an Ooni. Can cook with propane or wood.

I've had an Ooni for about 3-4 years now. Mine runs on propane only. Easy to use once you get the hang of it. Get yourself one of those laser thermometers so you can take a temperature of the baking stone while it heats up. Fire it up and crank the burners until the baking stone gets up over 750 degrees.

Silde in your pizza for 25 sec, slide it out and rotate it one third and go another 25 sec, and then slide it out and rotate it one third again for the last 25 sec and you'll have a perfectly baked pizza in a little over a minute with really nice leopard spotted crust with a nice chew, depending on the type of dough you make.

Rotating it every 20-25 seconds is the key. You get an even cook, and it keeps the toppings from getting charred.

Also, I'd highly recommend the Ooni Cooking with Fire cookbook, if you haven't already got it. It'll get you up to speed quickly and has a lot of fantastic recipes.

While we are on the subject of Pizza......I got a baking steel for Christmas and have been doing some awesome Chicago thin crust pizzas on it in my regular oven in the winter months.

This is another fantastic book by Ken Forkish.. The Elements of Pizza — Ken's Artisan

,,,,do NOT use his dough recipes for your Ooni. These are for oven baked pizza only, using a baking stone/steel.

He's got an awesome book on bread making as well, if you are interested. its called Flour Water Salt and Yeast. You'll be making incredible bread easier than you ever thought you could...
