Also gives a chance to Liljegren to get his feet wet. He excels at puck transition and zone exits, which is something the Leafs lacked last game.

The issue with 11/7 is that it's been not great in the regular season. It creates a lot of line blenders. But double shifting some of the top players could be a curve ball TB doesn't expect?

We all know we won the game. Mitch, Willy, JT, Matthews, ROR, Reilly all contributed to the win. I'm not saying they didn't contribute

That said there were long stretches were the whole team was hemmed in, unable to control play. When the team is stuck like that, the big boys need to step up to get the team out of that situation and take control. There were long stretches in the second and third where Willy, Mitch and JT were not really visible. I saw Willy back off several times instead of fighting for the puck.

Basically, it's clear to me and I think everyone else that the team needs to put a greater effort to beat the 2 time cup champs. We won last game, but there were areas for improvement and there is no harm in saying we need to improve and our top players need to improve as well.
