Need Sammy on his A game tonight, haven't seen it all series, there were flashes of it in game 3, in the 3rd period and OT, in game 3.

But tonight it needs to be on FULL display.

No more letting in the 1st shot of the game he can't do that.

No more scoring on himself he can't do that.

He's got to be on his A game from the SECOND the puck is dropped because you got to think Tampa is coming out HARD.

He might have to steal this one, REALLY steal it.

People will say he stole game 3 and he partly did.

But again he did let in the first shot of the game 3, he did score on himself, he did not fully steal game 3.

He might need to FULLY steal game 4.

I hope not, I hope the Leafs have a repeat of game 2, the Leafs win 7-2 and it's stress free for everybody.

But I want to see Sammy on his A game for a full game.

Keefe came out and said 3 lines were underwater. Polling isn't really a good argument
There is no argument, you've just started making stuff up now to prove some imagined point.

I said hours ago, believe what you like. If you think what's missing is dressing Simmonds knock yourself out.

I wouldn't be against Liljegren getting in here if someone is banged up, a little more mobility wouldn't hurt us there.

Agreed!

not a popular opinion around here but Leafs lack of puck moving d-men is definitely an issue. Except for Rielly we dont have any who can move the puck quickly or skate the puck out themselves.

Brodie is relegated to that duty in his pairing with McCabe and he hasn't looked comfortable doing that. Gio-Holl pairing is another one that can't do that effectively IMO

And one was quite good ;)
As one would expect. A crap Mathews and Marner will still bring results.
The problem I have is that this team has depth. We have an unfortunate suspension of Bunting but it isnt depleted.
For non-core players, I'm all in favour of voting people off the island based on game to game performance. You got to play to stay. That is what depth is for. You cant go into this game without some kind of adjustment hoping for a better outcome. Depth swapping is one of the tools. They brought Simmer onto the playoff roster. The game has turned violent. Can't imaging a scenario other than now where you would play him.

Probably explain to the Doctors that he didn't hit his head and has his wind back.

It would seem that the NHL "spotters" either chose to ignore this or are completely incompetent.

Keeping Marner with Matthews is overkill. We've seen Matthews Nylander and JT Marner work well and ROR has also played well with all of Nylander Marner and JT. There's no reason to stick with M&M and JT-Willy till death.
Marner with ROR IMO is the absolute no brainer move.

They played together earlier and showed clear chemistry, and it's a 2-way duo from heaven that will shutdown anything in its path. They've been the 2 best offensive forwards for the Leafs through 3 games.

Let Matthews and Nylander kill it against the lesser matchups.

I tend to agree, JT/Nylander is not working so it's probably best to switch it up

Jarnkrok - Matthews - Nylander
Kerfoot - Tavares - Marner
Knies - ROR - Acciari
ZAR - Kampf - Lafferty

You give both Nylander and Tavares a defensively responsible player who is also ultra elite on offense. The big pro of this lineup is it creates a lot of problems for Tampa. Who are they going to put Cirelli out against, the guy who is 2nd in playoffs for scoring? Or the guy who is an MVP having scored 60 goals in this league just a year ago

I agree with those saying Willy had a shit game. Yes he had the play that led to the game tying goal, but all night i saw him looking lazy, losing battles, fumbling passes etc. then again the entire team looked like poo. They were all handling the puck like a hot grenade.

i forget who mentioned this earlier, but they said they hope the leafs treat this game like they lost the last one. come out with a chip on your shoulder, play lights out and take this home 3-1 boys

matthews and marner isn't a disaster. they play a good 200 foot game. Although, we would like that they win their match ups more often by scoring goals and not allowing any it still isn't that bad

JT-Nylander duo on the other hand, especially, away is problematic IMO. Its a waste of Nylander's minutes and Cooper is just licking his chops to hem that line in with the last change.

Keefe finally feakin' adjusted last game. Hope he continues to adjust in game

Luke called Jeanott irrelevant, eliciting a shocked butthurt response from Hagel. It was hilarious. Yeah. Nothing happened, all frothing at the mouth and no substance.

Can’t help but be impressed with Hedman playing those minutes obviously hurting. Leafs really need to dump and hit in his corner.
Perfectly said brotha …

Ps
How’s agent “000000000000000000” giraffe doing these days
Oh ya he’s still 0 in the playoffs all day all night
Couldn’t even imagine us with him , especially last game …

I do miss his tete Le tete skills though ..

Why screw with a winning lineup?
