Damn, DHF. I'm so sorry.
I'm so glad to hear that you're feeling better now and have been released for fully duty. That's one hell of a battle. Hope things keep looking up for you <3

On a completely different note, my girlfriend moved out to NYC last year for school. Just moved her back to Illinois this weekend. I'm excited to have her closer again. One hour drive (she lives in the suburbs) is way better than the drive to NY (I'm terrified of flying and enjoy driving). I've made a lot of round trips from Rockford to NYC this summer lol. Never thought I'd have that drive memorized.

But she was living in a walk up on the 6th floor (no elevator), so my body feels a bit broken right now from moving her out. It was my job to carry the heavy stuff haha.

Don't know how public I made it but I had a stroke in February. Went from 275 and I weighed in yesterday at 208. Was a "strong" 275. Swung a sledge for a living. Could bench my body weight a month ago. Struggled with 190 on Thursday. Still have a "blood mark" on my brain.

Quit drinking. Quit smoking. Quit using psychoactives. Feel great.

Feel weak though. Life ain't fair.
You’re adding years and years onto your life. Probably even 2 decades by cutting the booze and smokes. Good for you man.

Made it to NC last night. Golfing Pinehurst #4 today and #2 tomorrow. The little lady has never been to NC so she is also tagging along. Ready to get my butt handed to me on those domes greens!

Imaging is a lot of fun......but a tremendous amount of work to do it correctly and learn pixinsight and all the others programs. It is really worthwhile.....but makes you hate the full moon and clouds :)

Most are over the size limit so would have to resize....but it compresses and makes them noisy. Each image was probably 8-16 hours of subs depending on what I was wanting to accomplish. In 4 or so years I will be free from work and get really get into it.

How'd you get into doing this?
Absolutely incredible.

I regret not taking coursework in astronomy.
Me too, now. Damn.

Yeah, gorgeous weather down there throughout our time in the city, even on the hotter days. I remember it was once said that the Chargers never found success down there because you have to be angry to be good at football, and there's nothing to be angry about in San Diego. After visiting, I can attest to that.

A stat I was told on a tour boat/truck that really stood out to me was the San Diego gets less rain than Phoenix.

Was pretty damn surprised by that.

Hope the Colorado gets some major rain for SD's sake.
