When I was in junior high the biology teacher would have a night each month we could look through the scope. That hooked me!! Just the exposure to it as well as being a science person. How'd you get into doing this? _
Imaging can be a real bear and I still do visual at times with a different scope. I spent more time on team viewer with China on a camera than I ever did using it. But once everything was grooved and in a good workflow I am comfy doing it. The image processing takes as long or longer sometimes than actually capturing it. Harder than processing regular images in PS and I went to a seminar to help learn how to do it. The best part about the hobby is you can make it what you want. Imaging...visual....solar....planetary.... Keeping it fun is key I have found and the want to learn is also important. I hope someone else picks it up on here! The best US based mount and telescope make is in Rockford, IL at Astro Physics. If you are there check them out as they are super helpful and nice.
Absolutely incredible.
Me too, now. Damn.
