Likely related to the new tax policy that gave corporations a boost. Have a couple friends who also just got unexpected bonuses. And it's mainly attributed to that. Congrats to you too.

Congrats as well!

I guess this is something that's always existed here and I just wasn't aware of it. Eligible every year after Review time. I will not argue.

Thanks! Anytime I can get more money I'm happy. Just allows me more expendable income for my expensive hobbies like hockey, fishing, boating, etc.

I hear ya.

Speaking of hobbies, my tank has been in good shape. Been algae-free minus the usual routine stuff that you get and the clean-up crew handles a lot of it. Still thinking about upgrading in the next couple of months to a little bigger size. We'll see. Definitely will at some point. Looking at maybe adding some coral now. Doing my homework.

Good to hear! That's another expensive hobby of mine.

On the topic of hobbies, is anyone into home brewing beer? I got a kit from my parents for a college graduation gift and I'm hoping to give it a try in a couple week. Just wondering if anyone had any tips

I just don’t think I could make a beer that’s good enough compared to what I could just easily buy. So I let them do it for me.

My favorite of all time beer is from a brewery out of Athens, GA. Can’t wait to go back to Atlanta in 2 weeks to stock up on some to take home.

It would be cool to do a beer exchange. I’d be down for it. Finding anything good in Utah?

I’ll swap Daisy Cutter with you for that if you’re down.

Actually have come across some good beer here. Best brewery we’ve gone to so far is a Finnish joint.

The nice thing above all else is that we have about 5-6 breweries within a mile from apartment with a good atmosphere.

I’ll let you know if I’m able to bring some back.

Haha then I guess you know as much as I do! I'm supposed to be reading the How to Brew book they got me but I haven't gotten around to it. I got supplies for a vanilla porter from the store by my house so I figured I would start with that, it just seems like there are multiple ways to do everything because what the recipe says is different than what my book says which is different from what the guy at the store said

Valid point, I fully anticipate my first batch tasting like battery acid lol I've always like craft brews and going on brewery tours though so I thought it'd be fun to give it a try myself

I have a kit someone bought me years ago that I never tried, would like to try it one day, hopefully the ingredients don’t expire.

I used to work with one of the founders of Half Acre Brewing Co. You may have heard of their Daisy Cutter beer before. He started it as a hobby and next thing you know, he’s a multimillionaire beer mogul, that could be you.

Daisy cutter is awesome! I also like Lead Feather since I'm more a dark beer kind of guy. Half Brewing Co's cans are just cool in general too so they always catch my eye haha

I like the dark beers too. Barrel-aged stouts, RIS, Porters, coffee stouts, etc. Those are my fall/winter drinking, though. As soon as spring and warmer weather hits, it's all IPAs, APAs, EC APAs, etc.

And if you like the Half Acre artwork, check out the artwork on Pipeworks' stuff, or Three Floyd's stuff.

Cool, yeah, it won’t be the most economical thing to do with the shipping but who gives a ****, it’s only money. I guess just bubble wrap em individually and throw em in a box. Does the Finnish Co. serve it cold? When I was visiting my family in Europe, all of the beer is served warm. It actually tastes good that way too. But for some reason if you drink a warm beer stateside it doesn’t go down the same at all.

Yeah all the beer they serve is typical “American beer” whatever that’s suppose to mean. Lots of IPAs.

Some significant changes happening at the Score. Goff out, Mac in, and another out with another new addition and total lineup changes.

That is shocking to me that they would let Goff go. The whole thing is to be honest. It seemed like they had formed a nice little cacoon of same minded people.

Great, more dumb ass Dan McNeil

Yeah, he’s annoying, please pair him with Bernstein, that could be entertaining.

So what you're saying is it won't really change much?

Can't stand The Score at this point. It's hard to listen to. Especially if they try to talk hockey.
