Maybe falling into the WC won’t be so bad. Chance to face a Metro team instead of the usual suspects from the Atlantic. Facing the Rangers or Hurricanes would at least be different thank having to face Florida or Boston again.

They're going to be falling right through the WC floor into non playoff territory in short order.

John tavares is looking to become a 58 pt player in the reg season to match his playoff production
He probably would be a 90 point player with Colorado, a team that gets a lot of shots from the point. Leaf play primary off the rush which isn't his strength. I don't know if Keefes system is anyone strength to be honest.

You get top tier money and endorsements and you get the whole summer off. They're out in the first round all the time. The one time they get past it and they're not even ready to start round 2 on time.

They've built a regular season team and that's it. All players here are asking for 1-2 million more in their contract just to cope with media and fan pressure in Toronto. These kids don't sign here bc it's a historic team or hockey hotbed.

They sign here cuz they know they only play October to April for max dollars then take 3 months vacation in Hawai to forget about the stress and disappointment of letting us down again.
Who the heck cares about endorsements when you sign a $90 million contract? Do you really need the Pizza Pizza commercials?

Keefe’s post game… you know it’s tough, we give up only three scoring chances and they score two goals. I mean Reilly’s stick breaks.

Excuses man, your team just wasn’t good enough all night. Even when they were leading, they didn’t look good.

Core Fore member cons new GM for $12M and NTC, then reverts to immature form of 4 years ago. Core Fore coach killers have their second coach on the ropes, he's dead man walking now. That's the dreadful dynamic here, and it has Shanahan's blessing. That man is simply a f***ing moron.

Keefe is an AHL coach still in 2024.

Hey Keefe what about the offense? Looked a lot like the one against Florida in the playoffs when they couldn't score more than 2 goals.

Very unlikable team....
now THAT is an honest and true comment. Leafs hate amongst even their most loyal fans runs pretty high. Doesn't help that the bar is so high these days, cuz they have a great team, a really great team, that has achieved nothing noteworthy besides an individual trophy or 2.

tough place to be in for a sports fan...wanting more and thinking it's deserved and not getting it.

There may be a good case for Toronto to give their highest paid players a significant salary haircut, given their marketing earning potential is generally pretty high, if not sky-high, here in Toronto. May take a decade or so for this theory to play out though, the current crop of 4 highest paid players out of the Top 11 in 2024-25 season will take some time to dissipate.

Only a few points away from being out of a playoff spot

Back to back heartbreaking losses

This team may not make the playoffs

We aren’t getting better. We are getting worse.

Blow this pile up
They literally can't. They don't have the flexibility or guts to do so.
