This feels like a turning point in the season, and for the worse.
The Leafs mediocre play all season long left me surprised that they still collected so many points.
Now, they're kind of at the end of the rope with goaltending.
The loss in New York suggested that they're at about the same level as the Islanders, and the loss to Colorado confirms that.
They are, at best, a bubble team. Definitely not a contender.
Look now for Detroit to beat them this evening, and then overtake the Leafs in the weeks to come.
Playoffs are not at all assured,
Feels like if the Leafs struggle and Keefe is doing Keefe things, we could get to a point where a coaching change becomes inevitable.
