He's followed the Marc Eduard-Vlasic career trajectory of being a reliable shutdown D his whole career and completely losing his IQ for some arbitrary reason in their early 30's.

Brodie was showing a lot of worriesome signs last year but I didn't think much of them. This year I'm stuck genuinely wondering wtf happened to this guy

I think Brodie started slowing down fall 2022 and when Muzzin went out I said the Leafs should be proactive in moving on from him. But the Dubas regime never really invested a ton of time or transactions in being proactive on D. Just minimal building and then patchwork while going forward focused every trade deadline and offseason.

Samsonov confirmed starter. Memes - why give an opportunity to Hildebeast when you can keep experimenting with Samsonov

This feels like a turning point in the season, and for the worse.

The Leafs mediocre play all season long left me surprised that they still collected so many points.

Now, they're kind of at the end of the rope with goaltending.

The loss in New York suggested that they're at about the same level as the Islanders, and the loss to Colorado confirms that.

They are, at best, a bubble team. Definitely not a contender.

Look now for Detroit to beat them this evening, and then overtake the Leafs in the weeks to come.

Playoffs are not at all assured,

SERENITY NOW

I think at this point we're past Seinfeld and need Friends help.

I don't chirp goalies as often but bad choice. Hildeby could of played no problem.

He better play lights out today and a win or he's f***ing done.

I just can’t believe we start Sam. He hasn't played since he was put on waivers, why not send him down to find a rhythm. Why the f*** can't Keefe just give this kid ONE start? We put Kallgren in the net for a multitude of games for two seasons and he was ass? I actually don't care if Sam ends up playing well today, my opinion this is an asinine move will stay. This is unreal to me actually.

The Wings are the type of team the Leafs like to play against. Shouldn’t be too mucky.

Patrick Roy's last game with Montreal was vs Detroit. Is history repeating itself?

Is it a coincidence that the sudden drop coincided with the arrival of Treliving? Weren't there some "talks" about something being off within their relationship towards the end of his last contract in Calgary. If I remember correctly his ToI and usage was dropping quite a bit last 2 years of that contract before Treliving let him walk.

If nothing else ( and even if there's no meat to the rumors back then ), shows how little he was trusted then. Fast forward to today and those insecurities may have reared their ugly heads again. Coupled with extra wear & tear, age, body wearing down and if he's now 2nd guessing everything and feeling the possible "distrust", no wonder the decision making is often off ... or at best slow.

No, Brodie wasn't good for large stretches last year. Remember the has Brodie been quietly bad talking points.

LOL

team loses once in regulation over their last like 6 games after getting screwed by the refs and suddenly the Wings are primed to pass them, okay

Sammy in = mistake
Gio out, Timmins in = mistake (should be a Lagesson in

Lagesson has been our best overall defensive defensemen yet he’s been sitting for the last 10 games (feels like)
Is Keefe that stupid?

F@$k this organization. Can they do anything right?

They really know how to screw over their fans!
