He was right about the Habs having a trade for a RW they will announce on Tuesday that addresses a need of theirs. He said it on Monday.
Wrong. He said it would be for a 1st, and that it would be from a western conference team.

I think I’m the one who first “broke” (though I don’t give a shit about honours) that the Habs were gonna go for a big scoring winger.

I don't believe that guy, he's a fraud.
Neither do I, but his shoulder has been surgically rebuilt... while taking 6 months to recover. His style of play, aggressiveness, and what we are expecting him to do on our team? Lends itself to damaging that shoulder again.

Would not understand a 2 year contract. Anderson wants a longterm contract, he said it. Give it to him.

What is the cap hit if he blows his shoulder out again, while being placed on the IR? Just a fan here and thanks for this.

Our luck > shoulder no problem ,,he gets 65 pts career year...Darren Ferris is his agent....4 yrsx 7.5 million ask price

If his shoulder blows again on a 1 yr 4 million deal?another 5-10 pt season?> 1.25-2 million x 3yrs

If his shoulder blows , and he's out all yr..burried the cap hit on IR..open space..still sucks

Anderson can walk away end for this season as UFA...

David Ettedgui on 91.9 Sports FM, the one who said Habs had a trade for a RW the day before the Anderson trade (although he said it was with a Western Conference team, unless he forgot Columbus is no longer in the West), said that Anderson should be signed over the next couple of days for 2 years between $2.8M-$3.5M.

I’ll one up this “insider”.

An imaginary bunny named Harvey told me that Anderson will be extending with us before the end of next week somewhere between 2-6m and 1-7 years!!

Because of this mirage that people (including kek apparently) think that Domi is that much of a better player than Anderson. Which is ridiculous

The real most probably and likely reason the money would be so low is simply because of the injury that cut short his season and low production that resulted from it(which is now financially fortunate for us)
one have ONE season of 40+ pts in his career the other have ONE season under 40 pts in his career.

Yeah yeah I know, it's not just about goals and assist...

but Habs reality is being eliminated from the PO while their goalie sports a 1.8 GAA and +/- .930SV%... and this summer wasnt the first time in the last few years.

Well to be honest, he said that MTL have trade their 1st round pick for a RW from the western conference.
Why do people think those who report these trade/signing rumors are in the room with the GMs making the deal?

Someone could be in the know and not know the *exact* details of the deal. I'm sure there's moving parts that change right up until the last second.

he's a verified former player agent...pretty sure he's still got some connections.

Using the Edmundson timeline, they acquired Edmundson on September 12th and signed him on September 16th, four days later.

So using that as a template for nothing else but this post, Anderson will be signed on Saturday. ;)

What if his shoulder blows on the 4 year contract? Thanks again. Not being a jerk. Just curious and thank you!

I still find it weird that we do a deal and it take 4 days to sign... when we make the trade their had to be some back Channel talk or négociation, it should be a formality so why so much time...

It's possible. Particularly since the same agent represents both players. But there were no official negotiations had, for sure. Once the trade is made, then they can sit down and get down to the full details of a deal.

It's possible that Max's deal was done first because he wanted short term? So it was an easier deal to put together. Whereas maybe Habs and Anderson are looking for a longer term deal?
