Those calling Domi baby are laughable also. He went from #1 Centre to playing 12 mins with Dale Weise in the most important games of the year. He was completely misused, the biggest team player would not be happy with that. He didn’t say a peep publicly until now.

He got outplayed and instead of putting in an effort to prove he deserves more icetime, he coasted and didn’t engage at all. Even when he was finally put on the wing in the Top 6, he had one productive game (really it was all KK) then proceeded with 4 games of doing f*** all.

For a guy that has no problem mouthing off and starting scrums in the regular season, he showed no emotion against a pathetic Pens team nor against the Flyers when the Habs needed it the most.

What did McNiven say?

More accurately, who f***ing cares what McNiven thinks? Petry

Petry just signed at or below market value because he loves the culture here, but lets ignore that, an undrafted ECHL goalie has issues with management. This is huge.

What did McNiven say?

It was about not hearing much from the team other than when he was being moved to a different team in the ECHL. Especially when they took him from Jacksonville and tried to find him a new team. He was in Montreal with his GF and they didn't communicate with him enough. And McNiven said he called the Rocket goalie coach Marciano hoping to see if he can find him an ice rink to go practice. Marciano didn't know McNiven wasn't re-assigned to another team yet. When Marciano told Bouchard, he immediately told McNiven to come to the Laval practice the next morning (because Joel didn't know either). About a week later, McNiven was re-assigned to Norfolk of the ECHL.

The organization should? We should?

The org completely wasted an entire season for McNiven for no reason. He's no stud but he's a legitimate prospect and was just left in limbo for no reason while we gave a completely washed Kinkaid starts in the AHL.

Absurd to act like it was sour grapes whining from McNiven to be frustrated getting shuffled around from 4 ECHL teams with no support from one of the richest teams in hockey.

Regarding Julien, in Boston, the players hated him so much that they kept him around for almost 10 years.

Do you remember how many player hated Therrien? and the GM kept him around...even UFA said they never sign with Montreal due to Therrien ..GM still kept him around...LOTS of players left town early ...

Remember how many players like Jacques Martin? GM kept him around ....players hated him .

100%" stable"....oh, for how long ..lol

How about healed?
Good point
Shoulder are tricky there plenty of player that just never over come it or reinjured it, even with better technic we just don’t have the same kind of results that we now have with ACL or Achilles which issued to be basically career ending...

That the coaching staff didn’t communicate with him when he joined for the playoffs. As if he needed to be told to actually skate and give an effort.

It's kind of important to tell your player why he's on the 4th line. I'd be pretty pissed if I was Domi too.
Domi is more at risk than everyone else on the team because of his health issue. He took a bigger risk coming into the bubble to play, and the team shows gratitude by using him on the 4th line.
Had he known this was how they were going to use him, he might have stayed home and not take the extra health risk.

So ya...least they can do is communicate why they're using him there.

Not going to bash Domi and will wish him well in Columbus.

Anderson is a hell of a player and will quickly become a favourite in Montreal. He will fit in perfectly on the right side of Suzuki or KK.

Uh, the organization should? We should?

The org completely wasted an entire season for McNiven for no reason. He's no stud but he's a legitimate prospect and was just left in limbo for no reason while we gave a completely washed Kinkaid starts in the AHL.

He should never have been near an NHL crease, he is an ECHL talent. Nothing was wasted, and lets be real, players will always be disgruntled at some level.

But using McNiven as some sort of ammo agains the org is ridiculous. There is no evidence that there is an issue with how the org treats players. If you think that a player being upset with utilization = the org being a disaster then I have 30 other teams and their players to introduce you too. This is BAU, players being upset with management.

And as mentioned, Petry just signed a great deal to stay here and one of his reasons for staying was the support he gets from the org. From all accounts facilities, staff, food etc are first class.

So ya, who cares what an ECHL scrub thinks.

One thing that I like other than the obvious physical aspect is that Anderson shoots a fair amount and that's without ever having a lot of time on ice. His 230 shots in 18-19 would have been good for 2nd on the team (behind Gallagher) and 27 more than Domi that year.
The thing about getting all those shots is the ability for the offence team to retrieve the puck after the shot and get more shots..

he’ll learn quick that even though Montreal has a lot of shots per game you need to be able to retrieve those rebounds
