Imagine sitting on a board and explaining to shareholders why you fired your proven CFO and CEO to roll the dice on some kid that invented a new way to build a company. LOL. It's total madness.if lou was still running things, you'd guys would have a cup by now.
say what you want about him being old, and old school; he knows how to properly run an NHL team, and get the most out of its talent.
plenty of teams in the league have highly skilled core players, but there is a very limited number teams that have a skilled front office to complete the whole thing.
dubas has been in over his head since day one. I'm not saying this trying to be a troll, I'm talking as a fan of hockey. It's obvious he doesn't know what he's doing, and should have never been given the keys to run this team
All Hyman, Brown, Kadri and Kap could still be on the team if the 10mil plus boys take 6 mil less collectively plus the money for Ritchie and Kerfoot.I think it went to shit the moment our young players decided to put the team hostage and demanded every dollar out of them. We've lost all our depth as a result, starting from Brown, Kapanen and finally Hymen.
It's all business and I get it but their decision will come at the price of this fanbase turning on them because of the bitterness. That's just how it works if you don't back those demands up with success. It's still early this year but I just don't see how this team is improved. It's not and they're not good enough to win. This team just doesn't have IT.
All you can do is laugh at this team.
What a sad sack of shit this organization is![]()
Lou started that too with trading for Boyle and Turtleneck in back to back year.
Hainsey was good bc the D needed help but Marleau seemed to be a rush decision but st the time, we thought he would be trading JVR away to get assets.
Look to acquire a 1st string goaltender, extend Rielly and go from there. And what would you do with that cap space?
We'd have Chara on second pairing and Nylander traded to the Avs for two 2nds if Lou stayed. No thanks. Who else you have to recommend?if lou was still running things, you'd guys would have a cup by now.

I think that’s a good trade but I’d do JT for him tbh. Marner has so much in him and our wing depth is trash. I know the blame is on Marner right now but I really think Marner will figure this out.The hockey goods are gift wrapping Eichel for Dubas. It's a miracle Eichel hasn't been traded yet. Marner needs a change too.
Eichel is a type A. He and Matthews are buddies but also compete fiercely against each other. That's the atmosphere we need on the team.
Damn franchise point records. LOLThis team deserves JFJ as GM and Mike Babcock as their coach.
I feel blessed that I've only caught bits and pieces of each game. Wasting any of my time watching this team just seems like a bad investment at this point.
Okay just boycott games until this clown is out.
They will also do comparisons with Stanley Cup championship teams bad starts as well.I would like an explanation from the analytics crowd and Dubas supporters,
I imagine "sample size", but can they come forward ?
I think at TDL for AM’s first year. Just by not trading away expiring UFAs should be good enough to send message to guys about having faith in them. No need to trade for Boyle even though I liked the trade. The team stopped focusing on futures the moment they drafted Matthews. That's when ufas stopped being traded and picks started going for vets.

Honestly man, a large portion of the fanbase knows this.if lou was still running things, you'd guys would have a cup by now.

The advanced stats tonight isI would like an explanation from the analytics crowd and Dubas supporters,

Marner really needs to play center given his salary and his pass first mentality.I think that’s a good trade but I’d do JT for him tbh. Marner has so much in him and our wing depth is trash. I know the blame is on Marner right now but I really think Marner will figure this out.
Yeah, "sample size" sounds about right. It's been 6 games, we were good in our first 4, got goalie'd twice, were mediocre last night while being backstopped by our 3rd stringer, and embarrassed ourselves tonight. Depth forwards have been doing their job, while 3 of our 4 best players have been non-factors - a trend only a moron would expect to continue.I would like an explanation from the analytics crowd and Dubas supporters,

Really? I just don't think our core players are that good.Honestly man, a large portion of the fanbase knows this.
The unrealized potential since the 2016/2017 season. Makes me sad.
