Dubas and Keefe are in charge of the servers.
$40 million for 4 core...c'mon, at least get some 8 core processors for that kind of money...

Dubas and Keefe are in charge of the servers.
The Leafs are 6 games into an 82 game season. Relax.
The problem is it just isn’t 6 games in. It’s 6 games after an embarrassing loss to Montreal last year. Then that season was after the leafs getting shutout against Columbus in a play in round. Then that season was after the leafs were up 3-2 on Boston and lost 5-1 in game 7. And that season was after another Boston first rd exit. This problem isn’t just 6 games old. This problem is 17 yrs plus old, 4 plus years with this core. The Leafs are 6 games into an 82 game season. Relax.
The lack of accountability on this team is inexcusable. This starts and ends with Matthews, Marner, Tavares and Nylander (although he has been relatively great). If there is a lack of effort, drive and production, these players should not be exempt from being held accountable. This can take various forms but the coddling culture is just embarrassing. As an organization, we are literally scared of holding our top guys accountable. It feels like we are just going through the motions.
For me, I want my leadership group to reflect the guys whose effort I want others to emulate. I feel like the ‘A’s’ and ‘C’ were just handed out to those who are our most talented players. Honestly, Spezza’s effort and compete day in and day out warrants him to have the ‘C’. There is no one in my books right now who is worthy of an ‘A’. It’s about having some pride in your effort and in team success, not just your individual stats and $$$. I know it’s an overreaction, but needed to clear my mind. Cheers.
It has nothing to do with the hockey gods, Eichel needs neck surgery. That's why no one is bidding.
The Sabres would take Marner in a heart beat. After the trade, however, Eichel will be off for 3 to 4 months recovering from neck surgery IF the Leafs let him get Artificial Disc Replacement (ADR) and it is successful.
If it is unsuccessful and Eichel is unable to play, the Leafs would be on the hook for the entire $50M - insurance will not cover his salary if Eichel gets ADR.
IF the Leafs insist on fusion, which is the procedure the vast majority of doctors feel is needed, Eichel will be gone for 6 months.
So... Do you still want to trade Marner for Eichel?
6 games into a season with the same core who lost their last 3 games of last season who haven’t been able to make it past the 1st round in 5 years. It’s not just 5 games man. I think everyone is tired of going up the same set of stairs that have led to the wrong door each single year. This group clearly doesn’t have it but maybe everyone is wrong and they know something we don’t know. I just don’t see how they can turn this around.. they’ll probably be okay but are we fine with okay? Cause the times of being okay are long gone. this team should be in win now mode which they are not in. They sure as hell don’t look like they even have it in them to win consistently enough to make the playoffs this year. They look scared and like they’re craping their pants…. They look like they’re afraid of disappointing so they can’t get out of their heads. It’s so sad to see. They’re not leaders unfortunately. The Leafs are 6 games into an 82 game season. Relax.
Okay just boycott games until this clown is out.
I didn't have very high hopes for this team after the conclusion of last year's playoffs series and then the off-season.
We've gotten significantly worse on paper. We brought back a coach who's incompetent. And we've instilled 0 accountability in the team, the core specifically.
Dubas has been a complete failure. From his coaching staff to his player signings to the culture he's created. Mistake after mistake. I laughed when I saw the headline about Keefe being extended.
It's going to be a long season. Sad how far things have fallen from a handful of seasons ago with so much promise. We had some respected hockey people running the show and we were getting some results on the ice. (No series wins mind you, I believe those were coming, drawing Boston with the lousy seeding didn't help)
This team and organization needs a major shake up. MLSE creates their own problems year after year, decade after decade. Things trending in the right direction? Hand the reins to a rookie GM and coach. Mind boggling.
Have you figured out what a two-way contract is yet?The best thing that can happen is that the Leafs lose. The more losses there are, the sooner we end this nightmare. Dubas, Keefe and MOST IMPORTANTLY Shanahan all need to go. Bring in real hockey people. Now.
Eichel and Dahlin and picks for Marner and ReillyYes for sure. Addition by subtraction. Heck throw in a few picks. Anything to get rid of Marner and his putrid father.
I think that’s a good trade but I’d do JT for him tbh. Marner has so much in him and our wing depth is trash. I know the blame is on Marner right now but I really think Marner will figure this out.
He could also be out six months following neck surgery. If he chooses a different type of surgery, he may never play again. That's a lot of risk.Eichel could play both wing and centre, big and strong, could skate like the wind, and has a great shot...and yeah, he could also pass the puck...and he's cheaper.
I 100% agree, and that’s literally every team come playoff time. The teams Dubas has put together are fundamentally flawed, he needs to go. A team that folds against hard working teams is simply no good.
No rush on the replacement, appoint an interim GM and begin a very thorough search. Then let the new guy make the major changes that are clearly necessary.
if lou was still running things, you'd guys would have a cup by now.
say what you want about him being old, and old school; he knows how to properly run an NHL team, and get the most out of its talent.
plenty of teams in the league have highly skilled core players, but there is a very limited number teams that have a skilled front office to complete the whole thing.
dubas has been in over his head since day one. I'm not saying this trying to be a troll, I'm talking as a fan of hockey. It's obvious he doesn't know what he's doing, and should have never been given the keys to run this team

Put someone new on the roster instead of Marner.Put someone new on Matthews Marner line before panicking
