Locks:

Lupul - xxxxxx - Kessel
JVR - Grabovski - Mac/Kuli
Mac/Kuli - xxxxxx - xxxxxx
xxxxxx - xxxxxx - xxxxxx

Would that be fair? Leaves 6 open spots. Bozak, Connolly, Lombardi, Kadri, Frattin, Komarov, McClement, Steckel, Brown, Orr, Hamilton.

Interesting third line suggested by Mike Ulmer.

Komarov - McClement - Kulemin

That could be a very effective checking line. A lot of possibilities for this lineup come opening day. That's what makes it so interesting!

This seems about right, but I would say Bozak has a spot locked up, if not on the top line, then at least on 3rd or 4th.

Then you also have to assume the guys with one way contracts will be given the benefit of the doubt. Unless Nonis can make some quick deals.

fiesty little guy

I was very impressed with his play in the AHL this year. I will be very surprised if he doesn't make the roster. He's got more of a scoring touch than most 4th liners, he's got huge agitating qualities to him, and he doesn't shy away from any fight. Picture Brad Marchand with a little less skill, far less diving, and much tougher.

Apparently I've been saying Mike Mottau's last name wrong for a long time.

Forth line at practice is Kadri-Komarov-Frattin. McClement is with Brown, and Steckel with Orr.
