There's only 48 games in the season. You really think either of them are going to score 30 goals?

Equivalent pace is what I meant, of course. ;) Don't make me bust out the calculator.

Agreed, but I wonder if he will sit if we decide to keep up Rielly for 5 games

I was more thinking they may take their time on Gardiner and we keep Rielly for 5 games. At this point in time they are both pretty similar players. Great offensively, both have work to do still defensively to become a tremendous all around defenseman.

Schedule....

MasterCard Centre in Etobicoke
Medicals this morning and an on ice session this afternoon. Condensed schedule for camp as well.

@mirtle: Leafs have medical and fitness testing starting at 9 a.m. and then a practice at 2 p.m. Welcome to a six-day training camp.

Noticed Hamilton and Aucoin's names on the camp roster, does this mean they will join camp when the marlies return from St Johns?

Both would fully deserve a shot in bottom 6 roles with the team

I was wondering why 2 of Marlies better, most productive players were not originally invited to camp.

While I don't expect either to make the team, their performances this year have earned them a right & opportunity to at least audition. Being game ready and up to speed should assist them in a camp without games to decide roster spots in comparison.

If you don't provide opportunities to key AHLers, it will send a ripple effect to future AHLers that signing with the Marlies is a dead end street otherwise.

If Kadri doesn't get a chance on this roster because of a guy like MacArthur or Connolly.. Really all you can do is laugh, just awful treatment.

It's about the Team, not Kadri. Entitlement is long gone.

Lol I'm sorry, but come on. Connolly and MacArthur are you kidding me? These guys are lucky to get 3rd line roles after they sign their next contracts.
Kadri is controllable and has a high ceiling, he's part of our future and by us honoring terrible contracts, all we're doing is delaying it. Players take a couple years to figure out the league, why should Kadri be any different? Get his feet wet, NOW.
I agree. Kadri should be a lock to play this year. He's also in mid-season form.
Yep.
