All Purpose Training Camp Thread.

Why would you show the bench for minutes at a time.. I've no idea why I pay for this stupid channel.
 
He had support behind him hence why it didn't end up in a odd man rush. I think hes smart than that to pinch in a situation like that..

There's just no way you send Kadri down after this camp. ABSOLUTELY NO WAY, without killing this kid's confidence. He's earning a spot, and there's no reason to have a plug in the lineup when this kid can provide much needed offense.
 
I think I’ve heard they’re practicing at the ACC Thursday and Friday? Hopefully they open one of those practices to the public.
 
Let's not get too crazy over a scrimmage folks. It's not a huge shock to see guys who've been playing all season, stand out.

Good to see Kadri racking up some goals though.

I disagree, I think he'd probably just laugh like every leaf fan will. "Haha they're gonna send me down again, alright I'll just be an all star in the AHL."

To be fair Kadri's been standing out in every Leaf action he's had since last year.
 
Side note:

I'm watching the Red Wings scrimmage live on the NHL Network, and Gus looks pretty sharp.

He doesn't want to be an All-Star in the AHL. He wants to play in the NHL. I'm pretty sure he would want to be traded then and I wouldn't blame him at all. I would hope if he was traded he would haunt the leafs and make them regret he was ever traded.

People criticize the crap out of him around these parts, but he was our best option in net for practically all of last season.

I think Gus will be good in Detroit. Our abysmal team defense ruined a chance for us to develop a competent goalie.

It is only a good pinch if you break up the play or get the puck.

They chipped it passed him and broke out. 2 v 2 with support backing up Rielly is Ok but woulda been 2 v 3 with Rielly back.
