I'd go $10 million over 3 years ($3.33 million per) or $8 million over 2 years ($4 million per) today on Mrazek. Put $2 million in year 2 in signing bonuses to protect Petr in case of lockout.

Exactly what I thought would happen. We don't have any RFAs that would command way more than their actual market value, and they want to keep that core Checkers group as in-tact as possible.

So there are a number of you that want Turris? That’s interesting to me. He’s in the second year of a 6x6 deal, and would slot in as the second scoring center (not necessarily 2C as Staal would play the tougher minutes).

I’m not a huge fan of attitude, but he plays well on the left wall on the PP.

Turris isn't good enough to commit to that contract for 5 years, I don't think. Internal or shorter term or more flexible player seems the way to go. As for the power play, Aho just needs to learn how to do it better. I think he's the solution, just needs to figure it out.
