Doesn't make sense to us, based on our information available, I suppose.

We are talking about a penny in a sport where loonies and twoonies don't move the needle a lot, where 5 dollar bills make an impact and the 10 and 20 dollar bills are few and far between. While I'm at it I guess McDavid is a 50 dollar bill lol

That's how I rationalize my viewpoint anyway

Is it small potatoes? Sure. Seems a little foolish though for an organization that has only 2 other goalies system wide, and 1 of those wants out.

There is room for 6 goalies in the system not counting any who may not yet be playing in a NA pro league. I think it is normal for a team to have at least 5 of those spots filled. Trade Helle and we might have only 1. 2 if a goalie is in the return. 3 when Milic starts playing pro.

right now all we have room for is a goalie and a forward

After our RFA are signed, yeah. Could maybe be 2 F.

What's the over/under on how many "who the f*** is that guy?" signings chevy makes today?

I realize there's a need for depth and the moose need players too, but I lways gat a kick out of them

Wheeler tied to the Rangers,

Luke Schenn to the Preds. Toronto loses a Dman.

NJ seems to be the loudest in regards to a destination for Helle. That's the team that I have heard the most from the talking heads. I just wonder if even Holm see's the writing on the wall and is deciding to head back to Sweden as he's not really amounting to much. Schmid just lead his team into the playoffs as a 22 year old and just turned 23 not long ago. Holm is 24 soon to be 25.

Yeah, I've heard the NJ talk. I've also heard that they don't want to pay Helle what he is worth much less pay the trade price.

I see Holm as still improving. Until that stops I think he still has a chance to amount to something. Now that he has been dropped, sure he probably goes back to Sweden. Wouldn't if he had been qualified.

The long and the short of it is that, IMO, we still need him until after we actually acquire 2-3 other goalies. Its not like he has a big contract that would get in the way of anything.

Sometimes the grind just makes guys rethink their direction. We have absolutely no idea if he told the Jets he was done and wanted to head home.

A lot of spilt milk over a mediocre AHL goalie.

I'm gonna go with 3.

TSN guys having the regular old tough guys do nothing in the grand scheme of things argument.

Some comments from SN....

Chef has to go if you want to change the culture

Helly can start the season with the Jets because teams wanting him will remain strong all season.
