Unless someone makes an offer that blows Chevy's socks off, he probably won't do anything. Ehlers is under contract for next season so it's not like he has to be moved immediately. And they do have McGroarty under control for 2 more years, so unless this relationship isn't repairable, I could see Chevy waiting.
what's he waiting for, free agency? We have no idea on who is available, what kind of play other GMs are going to make either, in what should be a competitive offseason...It's clear Calgary is rebuilding, and moving out the veterans that they can, San Jose is doing something, not sure what, but everyone else hasn't shown their cards yet, other than manouver Cap space.

NJ Devils have a Jesper Bratt who's 25 years old. 🤔

EDIT: Don't know anything about him hence why I had to look him up

Mcgroaty for Jiricek + Laine $2.5 per retained. Ehlers re signs. Always said Laine liked it here.

That one trick pony was on pace for almost a point per game two years ago. Would have been top 3 on our team.
Laine actually has some super good analytics with Columbus before he got the injury bug. I think he'd add at least 35 goals to the 2nd line - I'd way rather have him there than Iafallo

Someone did raise a good point though - can a player in the substance abuse program actually be traded? Does anyone here know?
One of the CBJ reporters said they can, Chevy just can't talk to Laine directly
