Bunting is fine enough but 24 year old rookie on a line with Matthews and Nylander was peak Bunting.Did everyone forget about Bunting … Calder finalist with 63 points and Dubas likes him. This is the 3rd time Dubas acquired Bunting.
I wonder how many points I could put up in 82 games playing with those two. Rebounds bouncing in off my fat old ass would be 5-10 probablyBunting is fine enough but 24 year old rookie on a line with Matthews and Nylander was peak Bunting.

Well he is going to play with Crosby.so that will help.I wonder how many points I could put up in 82 games playing with those two. Rebounds bouncing in off my fat old ass would be 5-10 probably
I'm curious to see the difference between Bunting and Guentzel from now to the end of the year. I don't doubt Guentzel is the better player, but I wouldn't be surprised to see that he was boosted significantly by one of the greatest players the game has ever seen.Well he is going to play with Crosby.so that will help.
Guentzel is quite a bit better than Bunting imo, but this is always a big risk. Like what is the actual value of Zack Hyman on any team other than EDM, TOR, COL? Its a mystery for sure.I'm curious to see the difference between Bunting and Guentzel from now to the end of the year. If they could trade Crosby, Malkin, Letang, etc they could get a ton of picks and rebuild pretty fast. However, I think those players might be fine with retiring as Penguins. Then the cycle conitinues. The core 3 are gone, they dwell in the basement for 5-7 years. Get a generational talent. Rinse, repeat.
I don't disagree at all, I'm a big fan of Guentzel, I'm just interested to see him separate from Crosby for the first time in his career. His defensive numbers are bad to the point where it's interesting to compare them to Connor's. Connor's are a little worse but Crosby helps defensive numbers more than Scheifele. It'll be a fun experiment.Guentzel is quite a bit better than Bunting imo, but this is always a big risk. Like what is the actual value of Zack Hyman on any team other than EDM, TOR, COL? Any unschocking return was also missed by 31 other general managers. Winnipeg being an undesirable destination doesn't help anything. It's the reason we can't throw away prospects like Vegas, we need to rely on homegrown talent to be competitive, Vegas can just sign UFAs to recoup that value. So many trades for unshocking returns yet Chevy has been silent. Wonder if us being on some many NTC/NMCs really is the issue.
For sure. If Bunting is playing with Crosby and getting PP1 time, I wouldn't be surprised if his and Guentzel's production for the remaining games is comparable.I don't disagree at all, I'm a big fan of Guentzel, I'm just interested to see him separate from Crosby for the first time in his career. Ewww no thanks, Armia was never a quick skater and is now declining. Please not Armia. Have an unsettling feeling Chevy will settle on him before time runs out.
Happy Crosby for Stanley and a 7th rounder day.Happy don't trade Cole Perfetti day!
Who is the Lee Stempniak of this deadline? That's the guy I want.
This years returns are poor. Wonder why?So Guentzel went for Bunting and a bunch of b and c prospects. We aren't going to have to part with any of our A prospects to get what we want in this market.
