Brady for SchmidtAgreed, IMO the return would involve one of our top six wingers. Brady style I love, there would be very few untouchables in trading for him from the Jets IMO

Jets have Salomonsson in the pipeline, and he looks like a much stronger future option than Barron. Also, Ville Heinola made the Jets coming out of camp as a RD, and so he's also probably ahead of a player like Barron. He's lost value, he can't make the Habs lineup which is bad, he's bad defensively, good offensively. Personally not a lot of interest at this stage, IMO barring the Jets scouts thinking they can fix his defensive problems.

Basically, I don't think the Jets would have much interest.
We'd have to send a pretty significant chunk of salary the other way just to make it work under the cap. Connor or Ehlers, plus prospect(s) and pick(s)?
FWIW seravalli said we kept tabs on tanev and put the 2nd round pick on the table
Would the Jets be interested in Justin Barron ?
If so what would you guys be willing to trade for Barron ?
He has some value as a RHS D but realistically, he lost his spot on one of the worst teams in the league to a guy the Jets waived. If his brother want on the Jets would the team even be mentioned?

Prospect with the same value. What would you want?
Prospect with the same value.
Maybe Lambert ?
More like a Stanley in value.Prospect with the same value.
Maybe Lambert ?
Now do the other top teams ... looks like some are below .500 in their last 10 games.OK, going with not meddling with a winning formula makes sense - to a point.
But looking at who we are beating and how should be cause for concern. Recently, only the PP and Helle are saving us. Go back further than the last 6 games and the PP wasn't working. We lost 5 in a row. Actually, I count 6W in the last 7. That gives us 6W, 6L in the last 12. 500 is not good enough.
Usually take more time for a Defensemen to develop, I think Barron will play in the NHL at least 500 games.Barron has too many warts at his age to be worth a Lambert

Barron is 22 and he's shown more than StanleyMore like a Stanley in value.
I understand .I think Lambert is a bit too high a price to pay for Justin Barron.
Just begs the question why jets would give up on Chisholm just to trade for Barron- very similar players right nowUsually take more time for a Defensemen to develop, I think Barron will play in the NHL at least 500 games.

Yes the Panthers and Rangers and even the Leafs have a good winning record in the last 10 games but that's because of their PPs.
Those 5 losses ... did the Jets play bad?
The Boston game yes 2 bad periods but the other games the puck was just not going in ... its happens.
This seems to be a weird year in the NHL with so many teams going on winning streaks and losing streaks. One night a team will win 4-0 and the next game they lose 6-1 against teams with basically the same record.
Prospect with the same value.

Barron is better the Kovacevic by a lot.LHS vs RHS
But then it becomes, why did they give up on Kovacevic? Why do they not give up on Stanley?
Barron is better the Kovacevic by a lot.
It's just that they can't send Kovacevic in the AHL while Barron does not have to go thru waiver.
Barron is playing big minutes right now, he will be a regular next year i guarantee you that.
Montreal's development system is baffling for sure... leaving a prospect who's played 80 NHL games over two years in the AHL just to save a less talented waiver wire player such as Kovacevic from waivers.... something doesn't connect here.Barron is better the Kovacevic by a lot.

I need a shower. Also, I agree.Report out there that Brady T is unhappy with the Sens, damn if he would play for another Canadian team I would offer ALOT for him.
Why would we pay anything for Barron. We just let the left handed Chisholm version go to waivers for nothing. Definitely don’t want to pay for something we just had.I think Lambert is a bit too high a price to pay for Justin Barron.
