To get either Jenner or Vatrano it will probably be first round plus, both have term Jenner 2 more years after this season Vatrano 1 more year after this season. Jenner also has M-NTC so that could throw a spanner into any deal involving the Jets. Are 1 or both available I'm not so sure.

I would offer our 1st and a 3rd for either one, my guess is that Jenner at 30 years old would waive for a shot at the Cup

That poster was me. And it was Monahan plus Harris. Haven't followed this draft closely but analysts have said it drops off after around 20 players. A late 1st is not going to be enough to get a player of value. Barlow, McGroarty, Lucius should all be ahead of Lambert. A 1st and the Jets 2nd would be reasonable for Monahan assuming the Jets even need a centre or a centre/winger.
At some point a team that's a contender has to be unafraid to lose a trade to get a missing piece or two. I doubt Monahan is that for the Jets. For a team missing 2 centres (Rangers) he could be one of them.

Adding Harris doesn't move the needle. We are overloaded with LHD. We are throwing them away.

Monahan is just not good enough to justify the return you are asking for. He is not the guy you lose a trade to get.

He doesn't drive play like a 2C, or provide the offense of a 2C. He is bad defensively, he has less hits/60 than Cole Perfetti.

I really hope this is a case of him suddenly turning into a motivated and good player, cause he's a third liner at best and he's slow and injury prone. Just what you want when the physicality ramps up.
