Kantserov listed on thec4th line today..So a GWG not bad for a 19 old gettibg getting limited time.on Metallurg ...Safonov on AkBars was listed as 2C for them but got no points today for the losers in this 2-1victory for Metallurg...l
Anyway on his break-away goal Kantserovvdid not look particularly smooth or fast in hos skating...looked like a very choppy stride to me..that is not leading to optimim projection for success in the NHL ...thought KD was stressing elite skating...either ice was bad or this is his skating style ...he just did not look very fluid getting up his accleration..Could be an issue.

Forget Tij Iginla...Jarome's younger son Joe scored 2 goals today ...giving him 3g 2a in 4GP since Edmonton of the WHL called up the kid ....He is is 15 years old ...not turning 16 till August this year .Might turn out to be the most talented of all the Iginla's...

Not a lot of love for Hawks on Button’s list. Nazar at 35 and EDM at 39. Although there’s a lot on this list I don’t agree with.

I’m surprised that Wheelers advice to Nazar would be to stay another yea.
So basically he thinks:
Moore 2nd line C
Nazar top 6 W
Rinzel top 4 D
Reichel middle 6 W
Del Mastro Top 4 D
Gajan fringe starter
Commesso solid backup
Greene 3rd line C
Dach bottom 6 W
Everyone else depth/more of a gamble.
Not bad, especially when you figure he has KK still as a top-pairing LHD and Vlasic as a top-4 guy now.

Yeah I pretty much agree with him. I really hope we draft a forward with our top pick we need a couple of top line guys

Offense is easy to find in free agency and trades and in Europe and in draft. The best teams in the league have the best defenseman.

In the comments section someone asked. He's not high on him (Pronman I believe likes Slaggert more).
Nazar has hit a bump in the hype to Savior stats...Last 5 games only 1 g 0 assists ...
Further many think he will not be a C in the NHL but only a winger .
If he is a winger you cannot put 2 small guys on linex1 because Bedard also is small ..So at bestvhevus a 2nd line winger..
He is also not tge best defensively.
So forget the hype...only 5th best in Michigan scoring.
You must temper the enthusiasm and scream Show me More before I get too excited...More skepticism please.
SCOTT WHEEKER is correct ...he shoukdxstay at Michigan for 1 mire season till he shows he is their at least 2nd best scorer notv5th best.
By comparison Celebrini last 5GP as a 17 year old (not turning 18 till this June) = 4g 3a...NOWHe I would get excited about even ifvhe must pkay "only" a 2C role when he gets to the Hawks (if Gary fixes it...again).
Now I understand Hawks ' fans desperately cling for prospects that tiktvtgevice and show sone domination.. but I am skeptical Nazar is that guy..

Don't worry big guy! We'll get Celebrini and by the by we can't have every player be generational!
While everyone seems to be enthused about our pipeline of recent drafts,you must realize other teams have some very good prospectts in theire pipelines still not in the NJL yet too!
Somev9fvthse could impact better than any prospect we have coming..
So I would tamp down the enthusiasm ..
Some of those prosprctsv9fvothervteanscare recent draft high pucks..butvothersxmay be later roundworms that developed with sone age and are better than ourvolder prospect draftees.
An example...Winnipeg drafted 20 year old Dimitri Rashevsky (who I wanted Hawks to draft though I had him as a 6h or 7th rounder because he was already 20 ...but Winnipeg gambled on him in the 5th round . A few years ago...Now 23 he is having a terrific season in the KHK withv24 g and 19 a ....Compare to our Artur Kayumov now 26...We took him 4th round in his draft year already what seems king ago...and he has inlyv16g and19a for his team..
Obviously you cannot get as excited as Jets fans are for the creative highlybskilled Rashevsky.
This single example is repeated a lot as Hawks picks come up short vs.who others took....
So I would curb all enthusiasm on our prospects until they show they are worthy of praise..

Kantserov made the lineup for Metallurg Mg's first playoff game. Not particularly surprising as he's played pretty well, but good to see all the same as they are the 1 seed in the Eastern Conference.
