Kantserov is having a totally legit year for his age, maybe not exactly wow, but showing some good flashes out there that makes you really think that there can be something good going forward. As for Safonov I really like him, he is big, physical and got some soft hands, but with him the question is about the skating - let's say his former linemate Voronkov is doing well for CBJ, but even here I think the skating component is just borderline good enough and Safonov is a bit worse at that (he is also bigger though).
Do you actually think Kayumov signs this year with the Blackhawks?

Judging by the rumors that are out there it is likely, I'd say maybe 60-70% probability that he will (just my opinion, of course).
thanks for the information. I don’t expect much but he has an easy path to an NHl paycheck next year if he just plays hard.

Nazar with a secondary by winning the draw in his own zone and then drives the net as Brindley does the rest. Later in the game, Levshunov leveled Nazar with a nice open ice hit .

Fantilli with the spiritual primary assist

Edit: nvm, wasn't a mistake it's his brother luca. Great name

I hope that is case

Would love to see him over here

I assume Shalunov dream is dead? I saw he makes nearly $1M (USD) salary in KHL so yeah financially it is probably smart for him to stay over there

Yeah, it was over already back in 2021, as back then the Blackhawks management made it clear they are not interested in him.

Where do you think he fits A) next year. … B) projecting (educated guessing?) where does he fit 3 years from now?

Do you think he has a spot on a good team?

I don't know, I'm not too high on him and actually thinking that in recent years his development has sort of plateaued, which means that he'll unlikely will get much better, since he is already almost 26, but maybe if put in a proper role (as something like a 'skilled supporting cast') he can be a NHLer, but I won't bet my money on that.

The only reason I could see for the Hawks to sign Kayumov at this point would be in the hope that he can produce in an elevated role and then be flipped at the deadline. He's not going to a long-term guy here.

Thanks, I haven’t followed prospects over there too closely since my Mother out Law was alive.
She escaped Lithuania during WWII and left people there and Latvia. I pointed out guys like kasparaitis and Zubrus.
She would ask if they were playing and I’d often switch to their game for if they were.

However at this age and seeing he’s fringe at best why waste the time? Chicago has a top 3 prospect pool. (THN rated it 5th before the last draft). Seems a waste of a contract slot.

Can’t be worse than Entwistle and R. Johnson. Open spots. Don’t have forwards in Rockford chomping at the bit to be set free into the NHL at the moment and don’t see a need to have anybody other than maybe Nazar and Slaggert bypass the AHL entirely that’s turning pro. Don’t see the harm in giving it a go, and if he’s no good, it’s back to the KHL. If he does well, he can get a big (read: more money than KHL) either here or elsewhere.

Based on what I’m reading about him I’d rather have Entwistle. He’s a decent enough 4th liner yet many folks here blame him for not being a good 2nd liner.

Well ...superstar Nazar had a poor show in the 2 losses to Michigan State this weekend ...
generatedvonlyv1cshotbon goal over the 2 games...no goals,1 tertiary assist and -2 ...Thisvis NOT NHL READY...ifcafter a week of rest youbcan only produce that otgives no confidence of consistency and game impact that annointed stars should have...2 lackluster production events in a row does NOT tilt the ice let alone difference -make i a game..You gotta be better thN that....the only excuse would be if not 100% healthy due to illness or injury..

But for all those on these boardsvyhinking Nazar should join the Hawks after this season andcwould make any kind of big difference, poor shows like this weekend cast a mighty doubt of skepticism on that idea.

The "hooe" has hit a few bumps on the road...now his other Michigan star teamates also were alsobnotcsovstarry eithercas Michigan Statexwon both games and crushed the Wolverines 8-3by a combined score over thec2 back to back games..
