Been pumping his tires for what feels like forever but Slaggert is a dog and the puck is his bone. Him signing here will make a lot of guys unfamiliar with his game become converts really fast.
Yeah I've said it before, but everyone who loved Hagel will also love SlaggertBeen pumping his tires for what feels like forever but Slaggert is a dog and the puck is his bone. Him signing here will make a lot of guys unfamiliar with his game become converts really fast.
Does he have the same offense?Yeah I've said it before, but everyone who loved Hagel will also love Slaggert
The safe bet would be noDoes he have the same offense?
I said it three years ago before McDavid turned Hyman into a ppg guy but that's always been my comp. If you put him with Bedard and another really talented player Slaggert will put up points totals he shouldn't.
Hyman is one of my favorite players. Love his game.I think you're underselling Hyman as a player by quite a bit and the dude is a horse compared to Slaggert.

I am/was big Hagel fan... b4 Hawks traded Hagel... I was on other sites suggesting exactly the type of deal KD did with HagelYeah I've said it before, but everyone who loved Hagel will also love Slaggert
Does your girlfriend go to a different school so we wouldn't know her, too?I am/was big Hagel fan... b4 Hawks traded Hagel... I was on other sites suggesting exactly the type of deal KD did with Hagel
I have watched Slaggert several times (mostly last year)... Came away --underwhelmed -- IMO-- he is much closer to a Kopecky versus a Hagel-- Hagel much better IQ/Instincts (like a Bolland)
I hope I am completely wrong about Slaggert-- But --imo-
Ryan Greene?Hayes has been a beast since getting traded. His underlyings were excellent on a bad Flint team and he's showing what he can do on a great team right now.
Matriculating Forward Prospects into Pro Ranks Next Year:
For sure:
Paul Ludwinski (04 - OHL)
Gavin Hayes (04 - OHL)
Samuel Savoie (04 - QMJHL)
99 % Sure:
Landon Slaggert (02 - NCAA... on reserve list until August 15, 2024 but all indications will sign)
Martin Misiak (04 - OHL... on reserve list until June 1, 2025, would be rare to not sign and just give up on a 2nd round pick this quick)
Could be:
Victor Stjernborg (03 - SHL... on reserve list until June 1, 2025... could sign and loan back to Sweden)
Milton Oscarsson (03 - SHL... on reserve list until June 1, 2025... less coveted than Stjenborg)
Frank Nazar (04 - NCAA.... on reserve list until August 15, 2026... seems ready to me)
Oliver Moore (05 - NCAA.. on reserve list until August 15, 2027... I think probably another year of NCAA)
Unlikely:
Aidan Thompson (02 - NCAA... on reserve list until August 15, 2026, age-wise says perhaps but less urgency to sign given time)
Dominic James (02 - NCAA... on reserve list until August 15, 2025.. timing normally says yes, but seems unlikely as he's been injured all season)
May be a good thing that Kantserov re-upped in the KHL for a bit. It's about to get pretty crowded in Rockford with prospects.
Totally overlooked, my bad. In the "maybe, but lean yes" pile. 03 - NCAA... Reserve List until August 15, 2026. So not running up against a clock to get signed but age and level of play would justify the opportunity to get him on board.Ryan Greene?
We need a couple Kopeckys too. I am fine with that.
I won't stand for this Kopecky slander.I am/was big Hagel fan... b4 Hawks traded Hagel... I was on other sites suggesting exactly the type of deal KD did with Hagel

How old? 26? It’s not the worst idea, just stick him in the bottom six and see what happens if he wants a go at it.. but probably not that relevant. It's highly unlikely to happen, but Artur Kayumov's KHL deal runs out this summer. If ever there was a time to sign a one year entry level deal with a real chance to make the NHL roster, this is it.
