With Hawks currently drafting 2nd ore-lotto I just did 10 draws on Tankathon NHL DraftSimulator ...and Hawks NEVER moved upgot the1st pick on any of them.

Resulta were 2nd =2 draw plaicgs
3rd 4 draw placings
4th 4 draw placings


But maybe Bettman"s actual draw willbe kinder ?

Moore centered Snuggerud and Rhett Pitlick 5 on 5 for the entire game. The ice was tilted in their favor. Rinzel seems a bit more confident in his play since the World Jr tourney.

Obviously they won't all work out but it's nice to see already some finding success at NHL level while others are on cusp (Del Mastro/Allan) and should get looks soon enough.

of all this group the only for sure NHL player is vlasic. I think factoring in his age KK is probably as well but he has just been ok to this point but he is 19 playing with bad partners so the fact it has not been a utter disaster is good. phillips and Kaiser at this point look like fringe NHL player ceilings. IMO. I do agree tinordi is terrible and now that we have another big left D we should either sit him or send him to the AHL (more likely sit him)

If Hawks draft at #3 or #4 they probably take a dman once Cekebrini and Lindstromoff the board

So add either SamDickibson LD,or Zayne Oarekh (RD) ...I have Artyom Levshunov as 3rd choice after these two....

Dickinson may be the top dman ranked by most rankings orgs ..but Hawksg reater need is RD..
Either wouldd definitely improve Hawks d-corps in future...Neither will jump to NHL next sesson but afterx1 more year of developing in the OHL Dickinson abd Parekh both should be joining the NHK team that drafted them..I do nitcsee any reason to rush 18 yr old dmen..1 more year in juniisxtgen make the jump to the Show.

If Hawks draft 5th thenI would take Levshunov if the other 2 dnen off the board...

If Hawks took Dickinson then have 2 LD linchpin dmen*Dickinson abd Vkasic) as shutdown dmen...Dickinson also brings skating, physical pkay,great distance shotand improving offensive potential..

Parekh at RD brings ,elite skating and offensive iimpact...high goal scoring =elite level for a dman..,ability to qb aPo...=quinnhughes/cakemakar -lije impact on activationsand directing the attack...However onlyv6'0 181 abd lacks physicality...But has vastly improved defensively thisxseasonas to oisitionibgandxreadibg the pkay..Has tge speed to defend using hisstick..
I do not think anyone woukd begrudge the Hawks if tgeycaddrd a potential offensive impact dman who can takeover games with multi-point ability.

But ifcKD has Dickinson as BDA at top of dman list he might stick with that valuation despitecpkethoraxofcLDcorospectsxintge pipeline.
Hawks will be stuck k with Seth Jones at #1RD till his contract runs out ..butvin 25/26 the D could look like:either:

Vlasic Jones
Del Mastro Parekh
Allen/Harding (LD) Rinzel

Or:
Sam Dickinson S.Jones
Vllasic Rinzel
Del Mastro Crevier or nhl vet *
(Or Allen) (or Del Mastro**)

** option to use DelMastro at RD which he played
many shifts on in Juniors...sonetimes double shifted and pkayed RD at those times or onPp from right side)

So IF it cones to us draftibg 3rd or 4th I think KD will be focused on either Dickinson or Parekh..

Either adds great impact to Hawks d'corps in different ways.

Depends on which style wanted most and which side of the D you want to upgrade most..

Of coursexwexwoukdcratger take anotger top center who is notubdersized (Celebrini ,,Lindstrom)( if we draft at#1or#2...but if that is not our draftslot we shoukdcgrab tge best D solution to really define and upgradevourxd-corosxas soon as 25/26 season.

CaydenKindstrm has been injured and out of the Medicine Hat lineup for the last 7games.. The team is so loaded with young talent that they not miss him at all...

Last 2GP they they outscored their opposition 22-5 ...They have LW Andrew Basha who is 2024 draft eligible and could ground one to early 2nd and 16 year old superstar Gavin McKenna m as well as others who have stepped up to drive the torrid offense.

But Lindstrom was supposed to be day to day going into the weekend,so he may be back soon.
