of all this group the only for sure NHL player is vlasic. I think factoring in his age KK is probably as well but he has just been ok to this point but he is 19 playing with bad partners so the fact it has not been a utter disaster is good. phillips and Kaiser at this point look like fringe NHL player ceilings. IMO. I do agree tinordi is terrible and now that we have another big left D we should either sit him or send him to the AHL (more likely sit him)
LOL At ignoring EDM.

Providence (with Connor Kelley and Taige Harding) play Boston College at 6 pm CT on ESPN+ tonight and Michigan State (with '24 draft prospect Artyom Levshunov) play Penn State at 6 pm CT on Big Ten Network. Some good NCAA hockey options tonight.

Take what the first rounders are doing tonight with a grain of salt. Michigan and Minnesota are playing two of the worst programs in the country (Stonehill is barely even a d1 program and Robert Morris was defunct for a few years prior to this one). Makes the counting stats look a little better which is always fun

Dominating weak opponents is part of being a good player tho. Its all part of the package of who steps up their game.

Michigan led 5-1 when Nazar got his 2 assists on goals 6 and7 later into 3rd period...both onPp..but I think by then Michigan called off the big dogs who had contributed big on their 5 scores earlier and gave others a chance to join the stats party on the PP instead of Brindley,T.J.Hughes, McGroarty and Duke who had all contributed goal and or assists to get the 5-1 blowout lead already..
Thus Estapa scires both late padding PP goals and Nazar gets 1 primary and 1 secondary
assist on these scores.

Hardly anything to get excited about ...he has gotten these type of cosmetic padding points in Michigan blowouts several times this season...would like to see in more in a key cog goto role and see what happens vs. tge better teams rather than mere late cosmetic points vs. #64 ranked teams lije Stinehill.

So he'll no....this don'timpress me much..

Will forward prospect Landon Slaggert sign after his college season or wait to become a free agent?

Slaggert was offered a contract after last season, but he chose to return to Notre Dame for his senior season because he wanted to play with his younger brother and felt he had some unfinished business. Slaggert could become a free agent if he doesn’t sign with the Blackhawks before the Aug. 15 deadline.

Davidson remains optimistic he will join the Blackhawks.

“On Landon, I think we have a good relationship with him and have had with him throughout his career at Notre Dame, so feel optimistic that he’ll sign with us,” Davidson said.

Unless there's something sinister going on behind the scenes, I don't see how he doesn't sign. It's his local team and with the current Blackhawks roster, he's going to have the best chance to play in the NHL sooner. And Connor Bedard

Seems like a no brainer the Hawks should offer him NHL games to close out the season after this college season ends to ensure he signs. He certainly can wait until August 15th, as a former Chicago Mission kid, South Bend native, it certainly makes sense he'd have grown up a Hawks fan but would want to finish out his Notre Dame days which has a special affinity to him in addition to playing with his brother, Carter. Hawks have a soft depth chart and should be able to give him a spot. He turns 22 in June so should be pretty ready with minimal AHL seasoning.

The Hawks OUGHT to be contenders for top potential NCAa frexagents..especialky forwatds who can score
.
However given the time line tha the pipeline"s largest infusions up fromt are likely notvtoll are not likely till 25/26 and beyond(unlessxwecwin#2and Celebrini i the lotto as he would play immediately next season...and the only other forward infusion from the pipeline up front might be Dach and/or Slaggert, you would think landing top NCAA talent could help the Hawks get more offense IF the right talent is available

I would target C/LW Jacob Quillan and RW Colin Graf from Quinnipiac who are Junior Yr. Players...age 21 and 22 ..and so F they leave early to turn pro after his season the linemates (individually or as a duo) would be probably the top of NHL teams from the crop of NCAA freeagents ..I do not know if they are going pro or staying to complete a Senior Year..bit I would feel betrayed by KD ifvhe did not try to land these 2 stars of college hockey or at leastc1 of them.. It is not like the offensively challeged forwards lHawks have (except for Bedard) are good enough to prevent another miserable season in 24/25...Hawks need some immediate help and overpaying from a lackluster NHL ufa crop of forwards who are late 20s or 30 + in age does not make a lot of sense...unless the Plan is to stink-Tank...again ....but adding free (not having to draft) 21 and 22 year old talent DOES. Make sense so if KD does not try to go aftercthem I would be disappointed.. Hawks offense is drivel to watch. Except for Bedard and many shifts even he is invisible... We need a talent infusion for next season if possible.Otherwise Hawks bottom feeders and unwatchable for another miserable 82 games next season.
