Summer hockey fox coming up with the Hlinka Gretzky Cup Tournament starting on July 31st Tgeircare sone ore-toyrnament exhibition games...This features u18s ...but mostly the 2006 born class who will be eligible for the 2024 NHL entry draft...The U.S. team has a selection camp going from July 20-24 to select their squad ..It looks like most of whom they invited to camp are from u.s. high school, the USHL or other Junior leagues in the U.S.They do not seem to ve bringing their NTDP u17 squad...so a lot of lesser known not yet ranked for first rounder potentials ...but thus could be a coming out party for some of thrse kids..
We will see what their final squad will be in a few days...

Canada has already selected its squad and has several targeted for first round status participating .
Though anyone born Jamestown 2006 or after 2096 is eligible for thus ournamemt,Canada is not including Macklin Celrbrini on the squad despite his june 13th 2006 birthday ...
..they already know what he can do and he will be leading Team Canada at the World Juniors this late December-early January ..

From peters World Junior Summer Showcase: Lane Hutson, Sam Rinzel Among Day 1 Standouts - FloHockey

Sam Rinzel, D (Chicago Blackhawks): The USA blue line has a lot of openings and Rinzel made a good case for himself in his first game. He’s a talented skater with a big frame and he showed confidence with the puck on his stick. I think he does need to make his decisions a hair quicker because plays develop a lot faster at the World Junior level, but his comfort with the puck and making plays through the middle of the ice was a good sign for his candidacy.

Over in Europe at the Hlinka Gretzky Cup Tournamwnt probably 1st time in history that Canada gives up 9 goals in 1st game of a tournament And U S A.. gives up 7 goals in their 1st game of see tournament so tgat the 2 North American hockey piwers give up a combined 17 goals I their opening games and lose both...Canada loses 9-6 to Finalns and Chechia beats U.S.A. 7-2....

Nick Lardis killed the combine, I had no idea.

He was the guy who beat Bedard in pull ups with 15.

He also was the top prospect in 3 other drills. Very impressive from the kid.

This video is about Bedard, but Lardis comes up a couple times:
