Seattle was in the Memorial Cup last year (and lost). Let's hope this year they win it all.
Seattle lost to the Oil Kings in the WHL final last year. Oil Kings were without Dylan Guenther, their main offensive weapon, at the Memorial Cup.
Seattle is stacked and are the faves in the WHL for now.

So Sarnia gives up their future to go all in and win now by getting DelMastro, and Del Bellballuz from Mississauga ...Mississauga with these 2 top players and Owen Beck still was only a .500 middling team this season so they packed it in tradingvtgesex3cstars before trade deadline on Jan10th and gave up hopes for this season...Sarnia, now stacked with 2 top additions as well as players they got from other clubs earlier in trades, is now a contender to go all the way to the OHL Championship and then to Memorial Cup.

However other contenders also have been loading up via trades too. Peterborough has loaded up getting avey Hayes abd Gavin White from Hamilton and Owen Beck from NMssissauga.

Would be great if Seattle and Sania both made it all the way to the Memorial Cup ...then you would see Del Mastro playing against Korchinski ,Allan and Dach ...

But...no guarantees as winning the OHL is going to be tough.

There is one huge prize still up for grabs before all this trade dust settles. I tge OHL...

ShanexWrightvwho Seattle sent back to Kingston is expected to ve traded from Kingston before the deadline.

Both Otawa which sits atop the East and London leading the West groupings in the OHL are among those expected to bid for Wright.. So too is Peterborough whichbusx3rd in tge East but is on an 8 gamexwub streak and also just added Beck.

Maybe Barriexwhicj sutsz4th in the East is trying for Wright too.

So the OHL after all tgse huge trades is goibgvto be supercharged with sone stacked contenders.

No confirmation yet...but Ken Campbell has tweeted that though nothing is confirmed yet , his sources indicate that London Knights have traded with Kingston to get Shane Wright in retirn for RD Oliver Bonk plus 6 draft choices...so a 7 for 1 deal...

Bonk is just turning 18 tomorrow and will be a first time NHL 2023 draft eligible....Craig Button has him ranked #31 for the draft...so After I looked up Bonk and how well hexwas doing for London in his draft year,I was thinking he coukd beca target for the Hawks with eitgerbour TB pick or maybe pick #33if we finish kastxandvifvhe lasts that long...Bonk scored for London in another win last night ...son of former Senators center Radek Bonk ...born in Ottawa...

Other OHL were trying to deal for Wright ...but Campbell shoukd have great sources to report this deal as he was a Semior Writer for The Hockey News for many years before leaving g forc8 seasons to be a hockey reporter inTorobto covering tge Mapke Leafs and this season returning to The Hockey News as a feature articles writer...Anyway he should have reliable sources...so if true this is a great deal for Kinshston because they get a young dman who can lead their blueline for probably 2 more seasons after this one plusc6 draft picks coning over the next set of OHL drafts....for London who sit #1inthe OHK West,Wright could put them over the top and get them to Menorial Cup by winning the OHL Championship.
But it is a steep price if this is the deal because Wright is likely not back in? the OHL next season...Seattle by not playing hom 9 NHL games, gets his ELC to slide 1 season ...helps their plan to both ease him in as a regular for them Next Season and to help put off a likely high extention cost by 1 extra season before he gets an extention...however this means al London gets is Wrightvas basically just a rental
for the remainder of this season.

Anyway this deal if as reported by Campbell goes through then it the really big blockbuster that caps off a frenetic OHL trade deadline flurry of trade acquisitions by top conte dong teams as they jockeyvand ramp up the 2ndvhalf and playoff run the rest of this season.
