No he is not Viktor Russell....much bigger...and a better slater...thatxwas a lovely break-away and finish.. This kid may be sonething..has goal scoring ability..

Must be frightening to see a 6"8 guysliefing in all alone on you..

He now has 1g 2a in 3GP agaibst the pros (Mestisvos tge 2nd Division of Finnish Men's hockey ...1st division is the Liga)..

But anyway nice to see him moved up from the u20 league to the Mestis and doing well..

Keep on developing and growing into than monster frame ...
Actually could turn into something....

Remind anyone else of Victor Ejdsell?
Haven't seen enough to say, is he a permitter player like Ejdsell despite the size. I do remeber being surprised how many breakaways Ejdsell would get in Rockford despite his skating. But all else he did was snap one timers

Could we be getting 2 more Generathionals to drool over for the 2025cand 2026 Entry drafts?

OIHL Exceptional status 15 yr old Michael Misa is already doing very well for Saginaw in the OHL this season...He turns 16 inFebruary 2023

Exceptional status 15 yr old Gavin McKenna is beibg eased into his Medicine Hat Tigers(WHL) team ...playibgbonlyv8 games so far this season from call-ups from a Jr.A affiliate team but he still has 6assists in tbise 8GP in the WHzl....he does notvturn 16 till zdecember 2023...so only eligible
for the 2026 NHL draft...butcscoutsxalready droolingvon his potential as hevus ripingbitbup in a holiday tournament of Jr A pkayers..

These kids could be the next Generattonals ..Hard to believe we might havec2 more Bedard coming...but we will see how they develop to their draft years.

Unfortunately Hawks cannot keep up the Tank forc3 more seasonsxafter this one..

Fior 2024 Draft....maybe ...For 2025 draft possibly contending for 19-15 losition...

For 2026 Draft maybe alreadyca bubble team...2027 Draft in 20s?

2028 Draft=drFtingbkatexas we should be contending....right?

Sam Rinzel had a rough game on Dec.28th....-3 only 1 shotbin goal in a 5-2 Waterloo loss to Dubuque ...

BTW....noticed Niks Juntorp not in the Dubuque lineup for that game on thec28th and their loss the next night onthe 29th to Youngstown....is Juntorp injured?Ill? Or might it be they let him go see family back in Sweden over the holiday break and he is not back yet?

Anybody got the story behind his absence in tge Dubuque lineupin recent games?

The tournament 15 yr od Gavin Mckenna is curently dazzling the scouts at is called the Circle K Tournament ...i bis a u18AAA tournament being played n Alberta over the holiday period...So he is playing with kids 1,2or upto almost 3years older than he is...and as the youngest player there he still is dazzling the scouts..

Obviously Medicine Hat of the WHL has only called him up for 8 games so far this season to-date to get his feet wet in the WHL where he would face kids mostly 1-5 years older than he is and even a few overages who are or will be 21 soon...so they are being carefull by only calling him up occasionally to play a few games this sesson...Maybe in the 2nd half they will call him up more often or to stay in the lineup.

The SAHA *Southern Alberta Hockey Association) u-18 prep team defended their Championship to winthe Circle KTournament again ... this is a u-18 tournament which includes teams from accross Canada and with U S and sone teams from other countries too...

SAHA was led by 15 yr old sensation Gavin McKenna who just turned 15 on December 20th...He scored 6g 8a for 14 poibts in 6GP ...He is from Whitehorse Yukon ...he wasnaned NVP of the Tournament despite him being the youngest player ...often pkaying jods 2 to almost 3 years older...

He could be the next Bedard Generational....given his birthdate hevis not eligible till the 2026NHL draft..
But surely Hawks will not beca lottery team by that time.

Well now that the WJJzc is over and CNada beats Czechs 3-2 in OT for Gold...Connor Bedard will get a few daysviff then pkay back inthe WHL for Regina some games till he leaves for the Kubota NHL -CHL TOP PROSPECTS Game on Jan.25th where he will fave his own age cohort of 2023 Entry Draft first time eligible s from thec 3 Junior age Leagues comprising the CHL
..
Will be intersstestibgvtovsee if Bedardxtears it up agaibst hos own age cohort ratger than guysx2 years older in most cases that he hated at the WJHC..

Fansxwill also be watching sone potential stats in Brayden Yager,Zac Benson,Andrew Cristal Colbt Barkiw,Callum Ritchie and others...

Worth noting Savoie had a 3 point night in his return from injury the other night. He now has 34 points in 30 games surpassing his total of 33 all of last season... in 34 less games. Hell of a season so far for him.

Probably was my favourite player to watch in camp.

He's the only prospect in our system that plays like a rat and I love it.

Hope he becomes the Andrew Shaw of our new core.

I don’t know but I think the prospect pool is looking up to me?

Three out of top six in AHL scoring...and four Gold medals!

Betrayed his Coubtry?

He is not stupid. GERMANY HAD ZERO chance at any medal. At the WJHC this time...He would hardly have made any difference... He is just being realistic...If they had a team likevtge Czechs did ...then you bet he would have gone because he might get them over the top ...but hec s no Don Quixote fool...notvgoibgvtobtiltcat windmills in sone fairy tale miraculous quest that simply was impossible..

But aupoise Germany had a deep talented team lije Checkia did ....and ifvhe had abandoned Rockford... then you would have said he betrayed the Rockford quest forcanAHL title which is not impossible ifhe is in the lineup there .
