Jay White has not been "lost in the shuffle" lmao guy is on TV in a prominent role pretty well every single week. Just because the guy didn't walk in and win the world title within 4 months doesn't mean he isn't being utilized....
Oh, he is being used... but nothing he does has been really compelling. That is the issue.

I mean I disagree about it being nothing compelling. But saying someone has been lost in the shuffle implies they aren't being used. Jay is clearly being used and prominently. Whether you actually enjoy what he is doing at that point is personal opinion. Him being "lost in the shuffle" is wrong.

I understand where they are coming from though. Pretty much everybody in AEW feels lost in the shuffle at times. Maybe it is because too many guys are featured and no one really focused on... or maybe the promotion just evolved into something that does not interest me as much as it did for the first 2-3 years.

I mean....yeah if you don't like AEW anymore that is probably going to make the product feel disjointed lol but Jay White and his group have been focused on, they are just starting a program with the Acclaimed. It would be like me sitting here and saying they aren't doing anything with the House of Black or FTR because I don't watch Collision. Like I basically never see them....but they are seemingly featured heavily on that show. I'm not saying you hold this opinion but there really does seem to be this sentiment online that if someone in AEW isn't currently in a feud for the world title they are floundering. It is ridiculous.

Fair enough.

I wouldn't say Jay White's been lost in the shuffle but like a lot of guys his booking could be better. I don't have a very creative mind but I probably would've either had him beat MJF instead of Joe or win the Continental Classic instead of Eddie. That's not to say I have a problem with Joe or Eddie winning those. Just think White would've been a better choice.

As for Okada, I doubt the money offered will much different so it kind of comes down to whether he wants to wrestle on the biggest stage of them all or the company he has friends in.

I don’t know if some of you don’t watch the show but just like to bitch about it maybe you just read the results online or something.

Jay white was involved in the most prominent story line in the company (the whole devil thing with MJF) he got a title shot. He’s also been involved in some high profile matches, including the classic with FTR.

He’s definitely not just another guy. In my viewing he’s presented like a big deal. Yeah he didn’t come in and instantly win the belt but he’s on tv every week doing something. I’m not fan of the ROH trios thing but that’s a problem with them having ROH folded into AEW and too many damn belts

I am hoping that the direction they are going with them and the Acclaimed leads to them winning the AEW trios belt and just getting rid of the ROH 6 man belts. Jay is getting over as a face, think could pull off a double turn and have the Acclaimed go heel out of it as well if they wanted. Completely agree with you though, Jay has been booked as a big deal from the day he walked in the company. A lot of really odd criticism comes at AEW that so often doesn't seem actually based in reality lol

It felt like BCG had a lot of momentum through the summer into the fall then around the time Juice was injured the Gunns weren't regularly on TV and it was just White in the continental classic. Now that the tourney is over White is back with the Gunns and they're building to something. Maybe it's not enough depending on what you want out of White but he had a strong showing in the tournament and I think most still view him as an upper level guy.

Dave says he tore his tricep. Seems like his body cant go at this point. Might just have to be a manager or commentary if he still wants to be involved

Same injury he just had

Looks like it's his right tri-cep this time. In AEW he tore his left reportedly.

Either way, this does not bode well for his future as an in-ring performer. Unlike a lot of guys who wrestle into their mid-40s, Punk has never been muscular and he may simply lack the muscular strength now to do certain maneuvers safely and not injure/reinjure himself.

Will be real interesting to see if him and Rollins just gut it out at WM. I think both guys have a burning desire to put off that match in the ME of Night 1.

If he’s got the same injury on his other arm, he’s out 6-9 months again.

Assuming the tear is the same severity, if he decides to have surgery, it's a long time frame as you mentioned. Reportedly the doctor advised him for his left tri-cep tear to have surgery as soon as possible to avoid muscular atrophy.

If he's facing a 6-9 month recovery, I can see him saying "screw it" and going ahead with the Rollins match, getting his precious WM main event, then calling it a career.

I highly doubt he’s thinking that way.

I don't think there is any way he can work Mania if it's true he tore his Tricep no matter the severity. My understanding even partial ones with no surgery take months to rehab and there is a real risk of making it worse if you push it too early.

Its not like Seth's injury at all.

So you got to hope that people are either misinformed or getting worked
