All-Purpose News Thread Part II

  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. I honestly thought we were gearing towards New Day vs Imperium, but that all depends on Big E, obviously. They've been quiet with his status.

Brock vs Gunther might be off now, obviously, which sucks. I do think you need something pretty high profile for Gunther, though, Maybe Cena? I don't even know. That said, does beating Cena do anything for anyone?

Rollins, Punk, Cody? Not sure those guys even come close to giving the same rub as a win over Lesnar.

Cena might actually be the next best thing, as long as he's around for the build and he gives a shit about the match.

Sadly, Big E kinda is reminding me of Jason Jordan. He went a few years with everybody wondering if he would wrestle again, and then you eventually put two and two together as he shifted to an agent role.

But who knows. Were Danielson and Edge cleared over some stunning revelation about their health, or because AEW came around and WWE didn't want them returning under another company. (Kinda funny in hindsight considering both landed there anyways)

I think Rollins/Punk is all but set. Cody? I do not want that f***ing dork beating Gunther.

Maybe someone from Smackdown eliminates Gunther in the rumble and he just shows up on Smackdown and causes a ruckus. Gunther vs Randy?

Oh I was just spitballin names. I don't think any of those guys would be used vs Gunther. Also, whoever gets the match with Gunther HAS to lose, and it has to be a big deal.

I wouldnt mind if it was Orton. Hell, even another round with Sheamus or Gable would probably make for a decent match. Doesn't really have the star power in it though.

E did say recently in a tweet I think that he is still a long way off.

Also did The Bump with the rest of New Day yesterday so who knows.

Oh yeah. She's showing up Saturday. Wouldn't be surprised if she f***ed around and won too. You have Becky/Rhea already earmarked for the Raw belt, whoever wins chooses Iyo.
 
I have Gunther go over again at Mania for the IC Title.

He comes out with Kaiser and Vinci the next night and cuts a promo that no one in WWE can touch him, beat him, etc. That's Okada's cue. He challenges Gunther for the belt that night and wins clean.

Another random thought. I think there's a nonzero chance MJF shows up to the Rumble. It's been too quiet about him lately.
