buddy if i write you a screenplay do you think i get to say who gets to play the characters
Completely wrong analogy. This is carny business we're talking about. TKO has shown they've put their faith in HHH. No chance they'd allow Nick Khan to over rule him re: major free agent talent. It just doens't make sense. Khan is jut the business guy there, he doesn't decide on the product.

If he came to WWE, obviously people would want him to work with Nakamura right away. Orton too as thats a long standing cross company dream match.

But I would have him go straight for Gunther.

Honestly if they're not doing Gunther/Brock or doing Sami/Gable triumphantly beating him for title, I think this would be perfect.

Could do a whole "Gunther is looking for real competition" thing. Cliche I know, but it'll work. Idk if a WM crowd would recognize him or not. Triple H would know more than me so maybe they announce it before hand or let it be a surprise.

I'm seeing way less then that, but it depends on the grade for both tears and if he gets surgery for the meniscus.

Doesn't sound impossible that he wrestles at Mania in a brace.

Seth was likely taking a break not long after Wrestlemania anyways depending on what their plans were. He was always trying to get to the finish line.

Is that injury too severe to even do a Priest cash in on Monday?

I would say he should not be taking bumps right now. He is going to be on crutches.

If his recovery time gets him to Mania, he should just hold the belt, work a safe match with Punk, drop it, then take a good long vacation to heal up.

No one is tuning into Punk/Seth expecting a work rate master class. It's the promos and story people will be tuning in for.

I’m kinda hoping for more of a brawl for Punks first match back. Make it a good hard strike fest and sell me on the realism of the hatred they have for each other.

There is also significant interest from WWE, specifically from Paul “Triple H” Levesque and Shawn Michaels, Sports Illustrated has confirmed. While it is difficult to procure information from Okada’s camp, multiple sources close to NJPW revealed that he has always wanted to perform at a WrestleMania. Levesque is aware of this and has the right opponents–specifically AJ Styles and Finn Balor–who have pre-existing relationships with Okada, and would both be perfect for Okada’s debut if he were to wrestle at WrestleMania 40.

Ehhh. Realistically, he can either work through it until Wrestlemania, can get surgery and be back in time for Wrestlemania, or it's so f***ed that he can't work a full match and wont be back for Wrestlemania.

The first two scenarios, you don't take the belt off of him. The third, I'd imagine it's a lot like Cody with his pec. Can't f*** it up much worse than it already is to take some worked damage to the leg, eat Priest's finisher, and then go get surgery.

Could just have him in the ring on crutches to announce a couple months off and will defend at Elimination Chamber but Priest comes out, knocks him out with a crutch and wins.

That works. Keeps the champ on TV through the full road to Wrestlemania. Seth can stay off TV entirely, until he's healed up. Priest gets a title run (albeit a short one) that he definitely deserves. Probably still enough time when Seth returns to put the title right back on 'em, and the reason for the match is already there so the only build they need is Seth to say he wants the rematch.

Then they can forget about booking the cash in match for a while.

Agreed, except this would be Priest's cash in.
