Confused?

How this....I think you can carve in stone a pile of WM matches already. I'd be shocked if WM 40 didn't include

Reign vs. Rock vs. Rhodes Triple Threat Night 2 ME for Undisputed Title (Rhodes goes over)

Rollins vs. Punk Night 1 ME for World Heavyweight Title (Punk goes over)

LA Knight vs. Logan Paul for US Title (Knight goes over)

Gunther vs. Lesnar for IC Title (Gunther goes over)

Jimmy Uso vs. Jey Uso (Jey goes over)

Rhea vs. Becky

Io Sky vs. Bayley

They've dropped hints on TV for every one of these matches with the exception of Knight vs. Paul. WWE rarely throws out red herrings. And they didn't spend the past half year building up Knight as the biggest babyface on Smackdown to not have a significant match at WM. He's not getting Roman and Paul is SD No.2 heel right now.

Solo Sikoa is getting a big name match too. You can see it by how he is being portrayed. Probably against Orton or KO.

If you're gonna do Rhodes vs. Reigns vs. Rock, end it with Cody putting Rock down and Roman stealing the pin. Leaves a reason open for Cody to get Roman one on one.

You can't end that title reign with Roman not getting pinned.

Seth supposedly legitimately f***ed up his knee last night and is getting an MRI.

Essentially he walked to the back on his own and the MRI is to determine if he just tweaked it or did something more serious.

disappointed. Rocky blown up outside the ring while Roman and Cody work 90% of the match is not something i'd get hyped for. special referee to enforce the law? i can get down with that

I can understand that. This isn't about what I want to see, but I think the direction based on what we've seen on TV is pretty clear. Throughout their history WWE has always been pretty obvious about their foreshadowing. They've never been some well-written drama with subtle storytelling.

I actually think that is somewhat the point in the Triple Threat. I think in a perfect world they would of loved to do Rock vs. Roman one-on-one at WM 40 but there is a massive amount of risk involved having a 51-year old body-builder essentially who is eleven years removed from his last match in your Night 2 main event without a back-up plan in case he gets hurt. Or worst-case, they have to stop the match. Can you imagine stopping the main event of WM due to a serious injury? Keeping in mind it doesn't seem to take much for them to stop a match anymore due to injuries (as we saw last week). Obviously they'd be less inclined to stop a WM main event vs. a random match, but Rock is certainly a higher risk for injury than a full-time performer in his/her prime.

And they aren't working some pseudo-match (brawl) like they did with Austin and KO protecting Austin from injury, etc. It would be have to be a legit match if the title is involved.

While 90% of the match might be a stretch, yes, it would be more Roman and Cody working with Rock sprinkled in-between without question. For all the praise he gets, Roman has never been Mr. Cardio match-wise either. He's gotten blown up in more than one match in his career.

Roman wasn't advertised for Elimination Chamber last year either until he suddenly was.

I still think Rock is the main event in Perth and Cody/Roman is still the night 2 main event.

That's a big thing with HHH booking is he doesn't really do major illogical swerves just for the hell of it. If the story is leading to a certain destination, then that's where we are going.

Ehh, this doesn't really boil down to an illogical swerve.

This is having availability to one of the biggest celebrities in the world to book him in the biggest match possible on the biggest show of the year. And it happens to be coming at a time when they're negotiating a TV contract.

It's probably gonna be a three way or Cody's gonna get pushed back to another big PPV. Personally, I think it's dumb to throw Cody in a story that should be Rock vs. Roman over the family connection, but I can see them throwing him in there just so Roman has somebody to work with while Rock is gassed out and getting oxygen at ringside lol.

This is like people thinking Jack Perry tearing up his AEW contract on that NJPW show was a shoot

I mean, I doubt it's a shoot, but it's not really the same as one of Tony's darlings going and ripping up a "Real" AEW contract, in a company that AEW has a very public partnership with, like they actually print "AEW" in 92 point font on the front.

If AEW really wants headlines, they should send Kenny out and have him tear up a piece of paper that says "NDA" at the end of the show, and then advertise a 15 minute promo segment the next week. Nobody gives two shits about Jack Perry lol.

Come to think of it, I think I've stumbled upon something brilliant for WWE to troll AEW with...

Heyman starts a new stable of talent. Punk/Jade/Andrade. Call it the New Dangerous Alliance. Never reference the initials, just let the fans chant, "NDA! NDA!"

Okada, Ospreay, White, and Shibata for Jungle Boy. TK drives a hard bargain.

This scene from The Wire was of course followed by Marlo’s drug business going under, everybody around him ending up either dead or in jail, and him becoming what he feared most- irrelevant.

Tony Khing of Self-Owns

I am very much excited about Okada hopefully showing up in AEW. Could see WWE throwing a lot of money at him though
