Apparently AEW put up a clip of Deonna vs Red Velvet and had to turn off comments due to fat comments made about deonna

AEW really should have picked a better picture because the one they put up is absolutely not flattering.

Combination of her being bent over and looking like her ring gear rode up a bit. Like use your head, social media department.

Having seen Deonna in Impact i can say she's definitely not fat.

Did Brock even know that was a shoot match. I honestly can't remember but I'm quite sure Brock would've beat Kurt in a MMA fight. Yes, there's a chance Bret could've wrestled Nash down and pounded on him but I doubt it would've went that way. Taking down a guy Nash' size is no easy task. Again tho, I really don't care and this seems pretty pointless to talk about.

Based on the story Kurt and others have told, yes, he absolutely knew that it was for real.

He had ducked Kurt before and was f***ing around in the ring with Big Show. Kurt snuck in behind him and Big Show bailed out and then they went for 10-15 minutes, to which Kurt has essentially said he was able to get 1 takedown on Brock and prevent him from getting any.

Not surprising, there is a big gap between college national champion and Olympic gold medalist

It's the literal definition of "There's levels to this."

Honestly, it's kinda like when people mock Punk's UFC run when talking about him acting like a tough guy in AEW. Yes, he was probably the worst UFC fighter of all time. But dedicating 2-3 years to that training and having the experience of getting the shit kicked out of you twice puts you ahead of 90% of the pro wrestling world, and certainly above guys like The Bucks, Page, and Jack Perry.

Kinda like the worst NHLer of all time is still gonna kick the shit out of beer leaguers.

Side note, I believe Kurt even admitted that Brock would kill him if he had continued training after college, and likely could've been an Olympian. Then again, Kurt probably could've been a hell of a UFCer if he had picked up on that after 1996.

Speaking of Punk, I feel like something very obvious has gotten lost in this whole Jericho thing... I haven't heard a single person mention or even speculate on it.

Jericho goes on Twitter and starts running his mouth about not signing NDAs and talking shit to Punk's lawyer, and suddenly, days later, Nick Hausman, who's been strongly connected to Punk since Brawl Out, puts out information about Jericho sexually harassing somebody?

This seems like a no-brainer to me. Jericho ran his mouth publicly and Punk decided to leak some shit he heard about during his time in AEW.

Mark Coleman and Randy Couture were two wrestling based HW's around that time and Kurt would have dumped either of them on their heads. He would have definitely been a champion had he went the MMA route after the olympics.

Pretty much a case of money.

UFC was a dumpster fire up until the late 2000s. Even now, unless you're a top personality, you're not really making jack shit. I honestly don't think if the UFC had late 90s early 00s fighters, but today's money structure, that Kurt would be all that big of a star. He'd win fights and probably be a champion, but he doesn't have the personality to be a money maker. He got over in WWE as a comedic goof with credibility as a legitimate threat. UFC personalities get over by talking shit and saying outlandish stuff.

So much more money in attitude Era WWF than late 90s UFC, that’s for sure

It really is crazy how much of a natural Angle was

Feel like they need to take Theory and replicate his character after Angle. The whole arrogant douchebag heel just doesn't work. He doesn't believe what he's saying, he just sounds like an actor trying to play a dick reciting dick-ish lines he's been given rather than actually coming off as a dick.

If you watch any of his out of character shit (There's a Celtic Warrior Workout with him that's pretty good) he's a goof. He's essentially comes off as an energetic frat bro who you'd think was a massive douche if he wasn't constantly positive. He seemed to play a goof with Gargano in NXT. Feel like that's what would get him over best.

Of course, Angle was able to get over as a main eventer despite being a comedic goof because he had legitimate cred. Theory's a great worker for his age... But there's a Grand Canyon sized gap between great pro wrestling worker and Olympic Gold Medalist.

shooting it out there: skip Roman v Rock til he drops the belt and do Rock v Punk

They are.

You're getting Rock vs. Reigns vs. Rhodes. Cody pins Rock. Rock faces a title-less Roman down the road at Summerslam or more likely WM 41.

We saw Rock vs. Punk 11 years ago. Maybe they eventually play off Punk's loss to Rock at RR 2013 for a rematch but it certainly won't be at WM 40.

Punk wants to go and tear the house down in his clearly promised night 1 WM main event match. He can do that with Rollins from an in-ring perspective. Zero chance he could pull that off with 51-year old Dwayne in his first real match in over a decade.

I doubt Rock is looking to do a whole lot of work.

Aside from that, just do Roman v Rock at Mania. Roman goes over. Then book a show at the Garden and put Cody over there. This whole finish the story bullshit they're hell bent on pushing through works better with Cody winning the title in MSG anyways. If that's the story you want to tell, at least tell it right.

It's a shame the timing barely doesn't work out. Smackdown's USA contract kicks in in October. Roman passes Hogan's reign at the end of September. The USA contract has 4 NBC mothership shows per year. If it had been just one more month you could've booked Roman vs. Cody on the first NBC show as the final defense to pass Hogan. That'd draw a massive rating.

Roman's title reign ending with anything but him getting pinned clean would be a mockery of his entire run. You don't end the longest reign in 40 years with the champ not getting pinned.

Hopefully they're all smart enough to realize that.

should be able to do as much as Hogan did at WM18

Physical capability isn't the problem. I'm talking about his other commitments.

Don't think he's giving up acting roles for 6 months to a year to work 2-3 matches, possibly hurt himself, and then f***ing up the entire schedule like what happened with Hercules.
