Speculation: All Purpose LA Kings 2013-14 Trade Speculation/Rumors Part V

  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. I would agree with you, but the Kings have been far too good drafting and developing in rounds 2-7 to be concerned about a lack of 1st rd picks. If that deal above happened, I would be all for it.

Not saying I wouldn't pull the trigger on that deal, but I'd be hesitant to do so. I don't know about you guys but it's alarming to me that this organization sucks at developing top 6 forwards.

The Kings only started drafting skilled Forwards about three years ago.

It takes time to develop guys, Toffoli/Pearson/Vey all skilled.

Look at the Drafts last two years, Plenty of skilled forwards, they just have to pan out.

The First four years of the Rebuild, concentrated on Centers/Goalies/Defense.

Not really. Schenn would have been top 6 by now, but was traded. Toffoli's definitely a top 6. That's 2 right there. Besides, when you already have guys like Kopi, JW, Brownie, Carter and Richards, there really hasn't been much of an opportunity for anyone else.

Also, Lombardi has put more emphasis on developing goalies and dmen than he has on forwards.

I'm aware but I also don't need to trot out players names that didn't live up to the hype of being top 6 forwards for the kings future.

Can't wait for Fras to actually be back. Such a great guy and deserves it.

PS. I'm aware the chances of us actually trading TT are slim to none.

He's the guy TO threw in to go with a couple hundred thousand dollars in cap space.

Here's hoping he can get his career back on track next year, wherever he winds up.
