Speculation: All Purpose LA Kings 2013-14 Trade Speculation/Rumors Part V

It's an LA Kings past dissapointments reunion.
 
We've had so many super star players in LA over the last few seasons from all these confirmed trades.

Didn't we get a whole couple lines from Clifford alone? :D

Ha, I said Stewart would be my target during the season (knowing no shot the Blues would trade with us) and really wanted after the Blues dumped him the other day.

Flyers fans still think they won the Carter/Richards trades...

They have a new GM in place, so I'm not sure how much past trades would affect future ones. Darcy Regier had a reputation for overrating his own guys which made him difficult to deal with even according to GMs that considered him a friend. Plus a lot of their recent deals were predicated on picks/prospects that haven't had time to earn NHL gigs, so it's tough to assign a win/loss out of them.

I'd be curious if Voynov would be a target for them. It might depend on whether they intend to move Myers down the line. Buffalo has a relatively decent batch of young RH D with Myers, Ristolainen, and Pysyk for the near future. They hypothetically could end up with another one in Aaron Ekblad at the Draft.
 
If there is a deal to be made around Moulson and Ehrhoff, I would consider it, but I'm afraid of the cost. I don't think it would be worth it, to give up a lot of assets and not knowing if Moulson is going to resign or not. I'd much rather only go after Ehrhoff than Moulson.

I'm open to the idea of trading for Gaborik. I think his value has gone down in the past few years with all his injuries and what not. But therein lies the problem. This guy can't stay healthy. That's the only things that scares me about him.

It doesn't make any sense from a Buffalo standpoint really.

I guess a 3-4 dman would be okay for them, but they are so stacked in the backhand I can't see them parting with any piece of value like an Ehrhoff without a scoring forward ala Toffoli coming back the other way. Clifford and Muzzin for Ehrhoff and Stewart just doesn't seem reasonable for the Sabres. It would be a land slide victory trade for the Kings.

I'm sure Dean would have a certain star goalie make a friendly call to a certain brother in law to get an answer on his plans for his future and what his favorite part of the US is. Or maybe have a certain star goalie's wife call a certain brother in laws wife (star goalie's sister).

That could very well happen, but outside of that, he really doesn't have much other reason to resign here.
 
Guys that have played their entire career on the East Coast, with a choice, usually pick staying on the East Coast.

Dean would NEVER ask Quick to do this. Ever. He's far above that type of ****.

That'd be ideal and I don't really like Stewart.
 
Ha, I guess KingLB and I are the only two here that likes Stewart. I know he's got some issues, but I'm hoping Sutter will turn him around. I wanted Stewart ever since he was an Av. He could have been ours at the draft but we selected Lewis instead.

Btw, is it Bernstein who's reporting this, because I thought it was TG.

Edit: more and more I think about it, this just doesn't make sense. I'm calling BS.

Don't fret.

I just RT'ed a hand full of tweets from Bernstein saying different things about Toffoli each time, including: Toffoli isn't being traded in-season, he is not being traded for a rental, he might be traded for a rental if it's the right rental. He's just stirring stuff up it seems.
