This. Williams has proven to be a very reliable player for the Kings and can step it up in the post season. Gaborik has been a 40 goal scorer, but not much more than that. It's nice, but I'd rather keep Stanley Cup monster performer Williams.

The way cap geeks display it they show how much pro rated salary you can take on at the deadline... So that part is easy. I guess maybe the other 4.5M would have to be pro-rated as well? :dunno:

And the rumors and speculation just keep coming. Next to nill being done at work the next couple of days. F5 button will need to be replaced.

Not a fan of Stewart, but I think the deal meets what I believe to be Dean's criteria for including Muzzin in any deal. If he trades Muzzin he has to get a better defenseman in the deal.

I have a ****ing test to study for and my Twitter is being blown up with questions/comments/retweets. Plus I'm trying to watch Gaborik atm.

Dennis Bernstein, the fourth period and rumors should never be mentioned in the same breath. They're useless. I'm glad he's able to verify information like scouts attending games and such, but as far as rumors go I'd rather trust Hockeybuzz.

I've been reading this site for years and it seems like Bernstein is spitting out at least one rumor a month and I've yet to see a single one come to pass unless it's something that's already been obvious to everyone for weeks.

Dear god, the TG buffalo rumors would be perfect.

I'm also one of precious few who doesn't mind Gaborik, but if the aforementioned rumor is true, the CBJ scouting is a smokescreen/plan B.

It absolutely isn't a smokescreen. There is zero ****ing reason to take Futa away from scouting prospects for the draft unless you're nearing a deal.
 
I am crazy for preferring Gaborik to Moulson when factoring in what it will take to get them? I'm just so meh on Moulson, at least Gaborik has game-breaking ability.

I hate Stewart with a passion but I'd do this deal in an instant.

Moulson and Erhoff make too much sense.

I have always liked Gabby....wouldn't mind him at a discount cost and covered in bubble wrap.

It's tough to tell if Futa came in just for this game or if he happened to be home in Toronto already. Mondays are typically a light night for the CHL and there aren't any OHL games tonight.
 
That Buff to LA trade rumor doesn't really add up from Buffs POV. When was the last time they've lost a trade? There's a big piece from our end that's been left out imo. That's just too good to be true of a rumor.

I bet it includes Voynov. THAT would make sense.
