I hope we don't make a move unless it's a bargain. I'd be down for Briere if they eat some of his salary this year and next.

Kings still in on NYI Andrew MacDonald - price is pick (not a 1st) and decent prospect but plenty of competition for the blueliner

Can someone give me a neutral, non-skewed, opinion on MacDonald. It appears he's likely one player Dean covets and in theory could help us (LHD). Not a fan of the "Makes Muzzin look like Lidstrom!!!111!!" type posts. Perhaps Dean wants to roll him with Doughty for the future.
Me too. I don't get the fascination with this guy. All I can get from Isles fans (who understandably don't want to tank his value) is he's solid when he doesn't have too many minutes (i.e. we shouldn't be using him with doughty). He blocks a ton of shots. I don't know about his mobility, though allegedly he's pretty good on the PP.
We have plenty of #3-#6 defensemen so unless the plan is to keep him as like a Mitchell replacement it doesn't make much sense. He's cheap as hell this year, but a UFA, and reportedly asking for more than Voynov makes. I just don't see him doing anything that Martinez or Muzzin don't already bring us (other than immediate cap relief). It's so confusing to me. Edit: unless the club really DOES feel he's a good match for Doughty, which could be true. He seems to be a solid minute-eater all around, and smart, like I said, maybe a mini-Mitchell.
WHAT THE **** DID I MISS!?!??!
IM SOOOO CONFUSED

Dealing Kesler in division is tough and would have to take a lot from LA but never doubt @FriedgeHNIC
Bernstein throwing **** at the wall again.

It's never going to happen, but getting Kesler would send this team over the top.
Before the disappointment. (league-wide, not just here)
It would, but I don't see a match. Price has been said to be 1st, Top prospect (Toffoli) and impact young roster player.
I know some Kings-fans had interest in Erat before and if was wondering if there still some there?
I understand that Erat's value isn't very high, but if you look at his stats and manage to pass through the goal-column he's been pretty decent lately. 1+18 in his last 30 games, +1 during the same span on a slumping Caps is also somewhat impressive. He works really hard even though not happy in his environment. Has played LW and C this season, but RW is his natural position even though being a left shot.
Would Clifford + Greene be somewhat fair?
Caps need a 4LW and Clifford still has some upside to him to help ease off the shame off losing Forsberg to get Erat. Caps also need his grit to help keep Volpatti out of the line-up.
Greene gives the Caps some much needed RD depth for an eventual playoff birth and evens out the salaries going between the teams.
MacDonald is terrible, no idea what the Kings see in him if that rumor is true.

I still believe any deal could be done without moving Toffoli.
If you're Lombardi and are trying hard to get Kesler, and Vancouver asks for either Toffoli or Fasching, which one do you give up, assuming you give one up at all?
